This is us when we were finally able to see each other for a long weekend during our long distance relationship. Finally able to spend time together apart from just talking through the phone. It was always such a blessing. Coming from different cultures, but also having different characters, it's very easy to have misunderstandings. And they're even harder when you can only talk through them, not being able to hug each other after.. But we believe it made us stronger. We couldn't ignore them by spending time together in other ways. It has been very confusing by times, but we're so grateful we came through. How do you experience being in an LDR? Or interracial relationship?

You might be wondering how we ended up in Utrecht city center all of a sudden 🤔

No, we weren't thinking about moving at all. But through Marianne's job we heard that the @tu.kampenutrecht was looking for building managers in Utrecht, since the university is moving there from Kampen. We had an interview and here we are! We feel so blessed by the opportunity they gave us to live in Utrecht city center 😊

Here I felt HOME!
Being one of the few non-Western people visiting the Waddeneilanden (Dutch islands), I was so happy to find an Indian restaurant. We were on a holiday with our Dutch family in such a Dutch place and I all of a sudden felt pretty much the odd one. We ordered a little, just to feel some comfort. And then the Indian owner brought us several things we didn't even order and didn't let us pay in the end. She made my day 😎

This picture is from almost 2 years ago and the photographer asked us if it was our pre-wedding shoot. We said no, but it appeared to be yes 😂 7 months later we got married and we used all his pictures for the invitation, website and all else
