Why is self-doubt even a thing?! For all the ways our body protects itself from sickness and injury — all that effort to remove toxins and things that impede our efficiency to survive — self-doubt sure seems like a major mental obstacle.
What gives?! We’ve all been there. And we’ve all been on top of the world! And then back down. And then somewhere contently in between.
In overlooking the importance of the path is how we then, soon, find ourselves tumbling to the bottom of the mountain. To then trudge back up, only to fall again. Excellence as an actor, like excellence in any role, relationship, job, or skill, is about being present — responsive vs reactive, being authentic, audacious, resourceful, flexible, humble, and fully available. The moment we slip into doubt, we stop being present, halt forward movement, and spiral down.
self-doubt isn’t the culprit, an ailment, and certainly, not a weakness in the definitive sense. I don’t see any trait, be it vanity, insecurity, arrogance, cynicism, or self-doubt as being a “weakness.” I feel each is a piece of information, in the same way every trial we encounter is an opportunity toward growth and deepened awareness. Be it a challenge or a personal shortcoming, every experience or insight is preparation towards our highest, strongest self. These data points invite you to explore your inner world, your larger story, to help you become more aware and surefooted in your present self.
The punishing kind of doubt can be triggered and exacerbated by clutter, be it physical, environmental, emotional, psychological, or mental clutter. These different sorts of clutter muddy and obstacle our path. We lose sight of the true purpose of our journey — that we climb not to arrive but to grow. We start to feel frenetic and imbalanced. Thrown off our inner compass, we start manifesting our suffering in our own special ways. We each have a talent for a specific suffering. Some are outstanding at being angry. Others are exceptionally excellent at being melancholic, petty, mean, woebegone, or cynical. Whatever our unique specialty, there we spiral. Our kaleidoscopic sufferings vary, extending from each person unique set of wounds.

If my fans want to do something for me when that time comes, I say, don't waste your money on me. Help the homeless. Help the needy... people who don't have no food... Instead of some big funeral, where they come from here and there and all over. Save it.. Today's consumers are eager to become loyal fans of companies that respect purposeful capitalism. They are not opposed to companies making a profit; indeed, they may even be investors in these companies - but at the core, they want more empathic, enlightened corporations that seek a balance between profit and purpose.
It seemed like I always did some great hitting in Brooklyn. The field there was close to the stands. Every time I started walking to the plate, I could hear the fans say, 'Here comes that man again. Here comes that man.
I feel extremely honoured and humbled that people are showing me so much love. My fans have stood by me through thick and thin, and I think this love is what makes my concerts house-full.
I study my fans all the time, and what I learn from them will definitely be reflected in my future work... I want to thank all my fans, teammates, coaches and supporters for the strength they've given me to overcome so much.

I think older people can appreciate my music because I really show my heart when I sing, and it's not corny. I think I can grow as an artist, and my fans will grow with me.
I always say fitness is the first step to greatness. And I try to encourage my fans to be on the same page as that. Because fitness is the first step to setting a habit that you necessarily don't want to do but are still committed to doing every single day. And so I think that's why I always, always try to get a workout in.

Listen, I am who I am. I have always been true to who I am and that is why the fans support me.
For film and television, it's interesting how fans feel that their particular ways of manifesting their affections are the correct ones. It's not just about being a fan, it's about how you perform your fandom. That's always been interesting to me.
What I want for my fans and for the world, for anyone who feels pain, is to lean into that pain and embrace it as much as they can and begin the healing process.
I'm putting everything on the line in being able to express myself in a different way than rappers normally do. They might say, 'It's rap' or 'It's R&B,' but I'm stepping outside the box and making music for me and making music for the fans to understand me. I'm going the extra distance to be able to come across different.
All musicians start out with ideals but hanging on to them in the face of media scrutiny takes real integrity. Tougher still is to live up to the ideals of your dedicated fans.

I don't have to do things just to please people. It's okay to do what I love because what I love, my fans love. And they're really the only ones that should matter.
I just want to inspire my fans to be whoever they want to be, because that's what I've always done.
Whether it's a friendly match, or for points, or a final, or any game - I play the same. I'm always trying to be my best, first for my team, for myself, for the fans, and to try and win.
I'm learning to accept myself. I'm still in the process of learning to love who I am. And it's been really refreshing and really nice to be able to do that and be okay. I think my fans have brought that out in me.
I know it is the fans that are responsible for me being here. I've always tried in each and every broadcast to serve the fans to the best of my ability.
I want my fans to be able to approach me in public and not think that I'm some robot who only exists online.
I think my biggest appeal for fans is probably the fact that I'm honest. I'm up front about who I am. I'm a little naughty. I have a naughty side and everybody knows that. But I know when to use that and when not to.
We are so lucky because all our fans from around the world are great. We love all our fans from everywhere, and they want us to visit them. We will try! They are really the best fans we could wish for.
Traveling around the country, meeting fans and hearing their stories in person and on my radio show has reenergized my commitment to creating honest and inspirational content that not only serves my own creative purposes but can help and touch others as well.
The Internet's been so great, and it's so nice to have fans do nice, elaborate websites, but I think the downside is some of the things... for real fans to go on and see that 90 percent of the information isn't true or to see pictures that aren't really me.
As much as I don't want to admit it, my fans are the only ones that can hurt my feelings when they're not pleased with what I'm presenting. I want it to be perfect for them. I want them to have a different sense of pride in my music & movie.

I've always followed my heart and pursued my dreams, and I imagine that people find that inspiring. I hope that is the effect I have on my fans and people in general. I definitely want to project a positive energy out into the world.
Life is supposed to be about love and good times, and so I've forgiven myself after paying the consequences of my bad decisions, and I'm ready to move forward and allow my life to be a light to others that it's never over, even for a person like me, who has lost a tremendous amount of respect among my peers, my fans, my friends and family.
I promise to keep doing my best, living up to my fans and family too.
I appreciate the response and the support of fans, of people who actually don't mind watching me on screen... I just don't ever want to jeopardize that.
I'm thankful to my family, friends, and fans for all of their support.
I am a walking piece of art every day, with my dreams and my ambitions forward at all times in an effort to inspire my fans to lead their life in that way.
I enjoy meeting my fans, talking to them, taking photos with them. My fans are the best!

Fans are my favorite thing in the world. I've never been the type of artist who has that line drawn between their friends and their fans. The line's always been really blurred for me. I'll hang out with them after the show. I'll hang out with them before the show. If I see them in the mall, I'll stand there and talk to them for 10 minutes.
It's been quite a roller coaster ride, but I've grown and learned a lot about myself. The greatest thing is being able to interact with fans and touch people's lives... for that I give thanks.
I think the confidence that I have right now is something that was created by the fans who love me.
I welcome every chance I get to interact with fans. I've made some very close friendships amongst fans, and I look forward to seeing them.
Honestly, just all the love and respect from the fans, that's always the biggest thing that puts a smile on my face.
I'd like to say to all my fans out there, thanks for the support. And to all my doubters, thank you very much because you guys have also pushed me.
