Hey all!

I’ve been using the Retroid Pocket Classic for a few days, and have come to some interesting conclusions in preparation for my review. I received a Pokemon Colored unit from Retroid Review, but my purchased Retro and 6 Button units will be in today.

Review will be out this week, with a final review of the Flip 2 next week.

The Anbernic RG557 is also releasing in two days. My review unit has not shown up yet so I’m not sure when I can have content with that out. Hopefully soon.

Hey all!

Today I tried installing the Super 5 OLED touch Switch Lite screen by Retro Remake.

I was planning some content on it, but turns out the screen I received was faulty.

After multiple attempts to get a picture on the screen, I tried to salvage the Switch Lite with the original screen and broke the battery connector.

I had been working on the Switch for several hours at that point…like a surgeon trying to save a dying patient. My hands were shaking and I chose to give up the unit as beyond repair.

A friend is going to try to save the Switch, and I decided that it was not worth trying to request a replacement screen. I’m cutting my losses on this one, and it’s unfortunate that I had to wait months for an ultimately poor result and a broken Switch Lite.

In the end, I sadly have several wasted hours and no content to show for it. Enjoy a picturesque look at the packaging I took before the instal.

….oh and if you have a Super5 OLED screen preordered…you should probably cancel it while you can still get your money back. It’s not for the feint of heart and you’re probably going to get shipped a dud anyway.

We just had to put my 16 year old dog Frankie down. Video content might be delayed a couple of days while my family processes and grieves the loss.

He had a good puppy life. It’s all I could have hoped to have done for him.
