🔥 Grilled Rack of Lamb – A BBQ Masterpiece! 🐑🔥
There's nothing quite like a juicy, flavorful rack of lamb cooked to perfection over an open flame. Whether you're impressing guests or treating yourself to a gourmet BBQ night, this recipe delivers tender, smoky, and mouthwatering results every time.
🧂 Ingredients:
1 rack of lamb (8 ribs, Frenched)
2 tbsp olive oil
4 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tbsp fresh rosemary (chopped)
1 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Optional: Dijon mustard for extra flavor
🔥 Instructions:
Prep the rack: Trim excess fat, then rub the lamb with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for deeper flavor).
Preheat the grill: Set up for two-zone grilling – high heat on one side, medium on the other.
Sear it: Place the lamb directly over high heat, fat-side down. Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until nicely browned.
Indirect cooking: Move the rack to medium heat, cover, and cook for 15–20 minutes until internal temp reaches 130°F (55°C) for medium-rare.
Rest & serve: Let the lamb rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing between the bones. Serve with chimichurri, roasted veggies, or a bold red wine 🍷.
🔥 Tip: For extra flavor, brush with Dijon mustard before grilling or add a wood chunk for light smoke.
