Compiled a spreadsheet of CO 14ers ranking based on my experience (see below). Plan for this summer includes Crestone Traverse with E Crestone, LB-Blanca Traverse, and a few more Centennial 13ers. Fingers crossed the wildfire season will not be too bad
Back in 2023 when I was hiking in Reynolds Park along Eagles View trail, I took this picture of snow capped Pikes Peak, and was quite intrigued by the other craggy peaks I knew nothing about. 3 years later I've summited all of them and documented on this channel. All of them lack well-defined trails, but the summit views are more than worth the effort to get up there
Just wrapping up an incredible two weeks road trip across Utah and Arizona. Lots of video footage to edit but here are a few of my favorite places visited during this trip. Happy New Year everyone!
Well, looks like my 14er finisher status was short lived. A new survey showed East Crestone (shown here) is actually taller than Crestone Peak by 4 inches. That would make the current Crestone Peak an unranked sub peak of East Crestone. I’m looking for any reason to go back and reclimb these peaks and this gave a great excuse 😂
Successfully summited my 14er Finisher N Maroon Peak yesterday, 7/19/25, with my good friend Bing. Video forthcoming including a montage of all my 14er summits. Next up, we are heading north to Wyoming in our new camper van, with stops at Grand Teton and Wind River Range
Summer hiking season is in full swing. Here are some upcoming videos: July 7th: Culebra Peak and Red Mountain July 14th: Mt Lindsey July 21st: Uncompahgre Peak July 28th: N Maroon Peak (14er Finisher)
With Mt Lindsey reopening via new waiver system, I can look forward to finishing all 58 CO 14ers this year. I have these 5 peaks remaining (in no particular order): Snowmass, N Maroon, Uncompahgre, Lindsey and Culebra
Did Rim to River hike in Grand Canyon NP with family yesterday (https://youtu.be/D_61WDksTJk). A great way to wrap up 2024. Wishing everyone a prosperous 2025!
Summer may be over, but I plan to keep on hiking throughout fall/winter to experience what this great state has to offer, and document them whenever I can. Like the great Alan Arnette said, “Memory is everything”
Oct 28: Pacific Peak, Pacific Tarn and Atlantic Peak Nov 4: Jones Pass and Mt Nystrom Nov 11: Chasm Lake
A few pictures from my solo climb of Crestone Peak from Cottonwood Creek side. The valley is beautiful and secluded compared to S Colony Lake side. Really enjoyed it
