Three reasons why we should recite the Quran:
1. You will get rewarded for every letter that you read from the Quran. Whoever recites a letter from Allah's Book, then he receives the reward from it, and the reward of ten the like of it. I do not say that Alif Lam Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter (Sunan At-Tirmizi)
2. Quran Calms the Soul. “Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah, hearts are assured” (Surah Ar-Ra’ad, 13:28)
3. Quran is a Source of Guidance “A Book We have sent down to you so that you may bring forth mankind from the darkness into the light..”. (Surah Ibrahim, 14:1)

“O Allah, to You belongs all praise, You are the Light of the heavens and the
Earth and all that is within them. To You belongs all praise, You are the
Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is within them. To You
belongs all praise, You are the King of the heavens and the earth and to You
belongs all praise. You are The Truth, Your promise is true, Your Word is true,
and the Day in which we will encounter You is true, Paradise is true and
Hellfire is true, the Final Hour is true, and the Prophets are true, and
Muhammad (saw) is true. O Allah, unto You I have submitted, and upon You I have
relied, and in You I have believed, and to You I have turned in repentance,
and for Your sake I dispute, and by Your standard I judge, You are our Lord
and to You is our return. So forgive me for what has come to pass of my sins
and what will come to pass, and what I have hidden and what I have made
public, and those defaults of mine about which You have better knowledge
than I have. You are the One Who makes the things go before and You are the
One Who delays them. You are our Lord, none has the right to be worshipped
but You, there is no Might or Power except with You.”
