"According to game developers from both Capcom and Ubisoft who spoke to Insider Gaming, while the individual studios may have been involved in marketing DLSS 5, the teams who worked on them were just as surprised by the results as the rest of the gaming community. A Ubisoft developer is quoted as saying "We found out at the same time as the public," while developers at Capcom expressed similar sentiments, stating that it was surprising to see Capcom, who has generally been protective of its IPs when it comes to AI involvement, getting involved in the marketing for DLSS 5. Further, the Capcom developers expressed concern at how DLSS 5 might change how Capcom approaches generative AI and its role in game development."

So Jensen was forced to make a statement following the backlash on DLSS5 and his response ... and I quote "It's not post-processing, its not post-processing at the frame level, it's generative control at the geometry level," he said.... This is a far cry from DF's explanation of "it's lighting" and others who are on X stating nothing at the geometry level is being touched. ... Funny how I outlined that parallax occlusion, tessellation or geometry would technically all impact light refraction and reflection. So far I've heard.... We update lighting and materials and now geometry ... so there you have it. Nothing is off limits.

Kinda crazy how close Godot 4.6 is to this other renderer we all know an love... VR gamers will likely spot this immediately.

Just threw another scene together with Godot 4.6 using VoxelGI to get that muscle memory down. Came out pretty good!

Based on feedback from my last video just showing that pulling the glow settings down ALOT from default can help your overall scene quality ;)

Just a little something I cooked up in the same scene I cut the recent video on. Godot's shader control and flexibility really does allow for some truly old school methods to shine.
