So thoughts on the current approach towards BnRs for S.Age & the PRECONs?

While previously stated to be a bit of a hard & fast approach to banning given the cheaper accessibility of S.Age. That rationale seems to have been shelved in favor of ensuring a 1 Season (Core Product to Core Product) shelf life for every PRECON.

Kayo aside as personally he feels like the point of no end. Mass adopted sure, consistent yep but severely above rate not really. If he goes, most will move to Fai and so forth and so on. Aggro goes away and its what just fatigue & who has the better value loop?

But with that in mind there are no bans scheduled until the end of May so for the majority of competitive events it will probably be a sea of Kayo with how easily he can be picked up.

For me it's what comes next, the latest BnR heavily hints towards currently banned cards featuring in the Chapter 3 PRECONs. My money would be on Lightning Press and Burn Up//Shock appearing in the Briar PRECON.

As stated by LSS, when the Chapter 3 PRECONs become playable so to will any cards featured in them. If a Chapter 3 hero is benched by the community, the Season in which that hero next becomes legally playable will also feature the unbanning of any PRECON cards.

That is to say if Lightning Press and Burn Up//Shock are in the Briar PRECON then there will be a full season where Briar and said cards are not banned. More than Kayo that would be the Season I'm curious to hear peoples thoughts on?

Aurora/Runeblade feels like a given, so we'll leave her out of it for now.



It could also be a 3 or even 4 (probably not) class set (limited seems to be working best with 2 class 4 heroes or 3 & 3 class hero sets). But Youtube doesn't like multi-select polls.

So we're a week out from the Release of PEN & I'd love to hear your honest thoughts about the set.

For me it's a bit of a mixed bag, does the price increase feel justified? Not really, but on paper the set is neither the worst nor best set comparatively, even factoring in the "premium" pricing.

I think for many the issue stems from a consumer shift from having to buy boxes/cases to buying multiple upon multiple cases to hit certain card variance.

I don't mind the harder to pull chase elements but would've like to have seen it balanced out with more accessibility to playables. Majestics feel like they're in a really weird spot, being fairly cheap (aside for a few outlier cards) but still really inconvenient to just open boxes for.

PEN has been revealed as Compendium of Rathe, a supplemental set featuring not only a massive supply of equipment but a mix of key new cards & reprints for both Silver Age & Classic Constructed. Although bringing some exciting things to FAB there's also a handful of things that may ruffle a few feathers so I'm curious?

While Silver Age bring much needed reform to Young Hero play, it also creates various issues with existing products. Making various things obsolete when following the main competitive pathway for FaB. A big one being it's affect on Armory Decks being CC/Blitz ready. So I'm curious what would you like to see?
