On this day 20 years ago I watched the movie Doom (2005) in an AMC theater.
Plot: Space Marines are sent to investigate strange events at a research facility on Mars but find themselves at the mercy of genetically enhanced killing machines.
Being a kid in the '90s I was a big fan of the Doom first person shooter computer game and I'd be lying if I said this movie wasn't disappointing. Other than some cool first person shooter perspective scenes the movie overall just felt flat.

On this day 20 years ago in 2005 I watched the movie Two For the Money (2005) in the theater.
Plot: After suffering a career ending injury a college football player (Matthew McConaughey) goes to work for a sports betting firm owned by a business tycoon (Al Pacino).
This movie got mostly panned by critics at the time although I personally remember thinking it wasn't bad. It's probably due for a re-watch.
Currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
