I was inspired by a YouTube video to rework my reading journal for the year, so I've spent a little bit of this blizzard doing just that. I am making my own book, but I took it out of the press long enough this afternoon to start drawing out the first page. For the time being I'll continue to use the other journal I've started and then add to this one over time as I have time to do so for enjoyment.

Do you keep a reading journal? This is my first time, though I have kept a list of all the books I've read since 2004. 😱🤓

Getting ready to update my reading journal and had to tell you about my first 5 ✨️ read of 2026. "Julie Chan is Dead" by Liann Zhang is fantastic if you're looking for a book with an unhinged (in the best way) plot. Assumed identity, influencer life, cult-like behavior and just a tiny bit of horror thrown into the mix make for an exceptional book.
