💫 I'M UNEMPLOYED & THAT'S OKAY!

Aw man, it's been a bit since I've updated all of you, huh? I bit the bullet this week and quit my job of three years because it was making me miserable. I'll be pivoting to art full time and things are going to look very different around here in a short few weeks, so strap on in!

‼️ Didn't wanna plug my Ko-Fi as I never feel like I need help "enough," particularly when I have people looking out for me, but I'll acquiesce and share this as the primary way to support me right now as I get all the clerical work set up for freelancing.

All money that goes here will be put towards my savings — you guys were generous enough that my car is completely paid off, wow! She needs new tires and oil, so that's next on the docket, but until then I'm looking to see what my last few paychecks will look like before I pull the trigger on any big financial decisions. I'm still tentatively job hunting out of an abundance of caution, though I've sworn off night jobs & food service. I need to feel human and I'm willing to give this an earnest shot as my husband is willing to support me financially and invest in me to see if my business can get to a stable place.

🗺️ SO WHAT IS THE FUTURE OF CIRCUITS & SORCERY?

Well ... there won't BE a Circuits & Sorcery, let's preface that. This is a name I've honestly held onto a little too fastidiously over the past few years, and one that I feel doesn't really reflect who I am as an artist or person.

My rebrand is already hammered out. You've been seeing bits and pieces of it here and there. I'm so extremely proud of it and where my art is going, and I'm excited to debut it at Megaplex this coming month, because ... I'M DEALING! A real bonafide dealer! Come see me! I'll be at table #13 in the den with my good friend, T4zer. I'll also be dealing at Furry Takeover as well!

Expect to see the rollout of my rebrand within the next few weeks, where I'll be preparing for Megaplex and pushing myself to kit out my stall with all new merch, commission options, and more. I really, really need this show to go well for me so that I can address the following —

⌛️ HEY, WHERE'S MY COMMISSION?

As of writing this, I only have three commissions in my queue. Everyone has been informed as to my life circumstances and refunds were offered and subsequently denied in the interest of getting their final pieces. These will be done early Sept.

Commission types sold at Megaplex will be quick-turnaround or done on a template with a cap and openly advertised turnaround time-frames. If you want art from me? This is the time and place to do it, because I'll be retooling my openings moving forwards to avoid burnout.

I am extremely confident I can get this work done for you guys in a timely manner. The siren has been a soul-sucking presence in my life that I didn't even know was affecting me — once I made up my mind, I've drawn more than I have in a week than I have in four months.

🚶‍♂️ MOVING FORWARDS

So what's the future for the web presences of Casper Cielo? A return to form, mostly. Expect in the coming months to see ...

• A return to Youtube content — yes, really! That's why this is being posted here. I have lots of cool things planned for you guys and I invested in a new analog camera for some artsy b-roll footage. I'll be selling off my Rebel that's served me faithfully for years and switching to my iPhone. I think perfectionism and agonizing over filming was one of the contributing factors as to why I stopped posting here, and I want to have a healthy relationship with making content again.
• Themed badge openings. General commission slots will be rarer, sorry!
• Patreon debut. Finally.
• More Tiktoks, even if they're like pulling teeth.
• More experimental artwork — expect autobio stuff, zines, different mediums, etc.

I think that about covers it. It'll be slow-going, but we'll get there eventually! All in good time and all that.

I'm sad. Genuinely. I really loved my job. I loved that I was getting college and I loved the stability. But I need to be kind to myself and understand when enough is enough. I want to stop feeling depressed when I have no reason to be — I'm loved and affirmed and safe.

While I haven't been super active here, I want to thank you guys so much for all the love and understanding you've afforded me over the years. I hope I can return the favor whether it be through my art, the things I say, the community work I do, or the little sunny spot my presence might bring to your lives. Keep it pushin' ✌️

Privated a good handful of videos. Will likely continue to do so. Was not completely honest with my reasons why I left this channel — but it hurts to look at most of the content I produced on here because of the people involved.

Still feeling really demoralized in regards to the furry fandom for just ... a myriad of reasons. I'm back in college now, relationship going long distance, almost done with my commission queue so plans to come back here are still on track. Just wanted to be extremely transparent and say that videos will start disappearing from this channel, so save anything if you're particularly attached to it. Sorry if this disappoints anyone. I can't come back if looking at this channel just bums me out.

Slowly but surely in the process of rebranding! I'm feeling those idea juices come flowing back, it's just a matter of clearing out my queue and changing my channel to better reflect who I currently am as an artist. Here's what's on the backburner ...

- Rebrand everything! So far I've worked on rebranding my website and commission information; it's the first thing that'll get done. This channel, similarly, will look completely different in good time. I'll upload a reintroduction video when it's all complete!

- I'm clearing out my art queue! I'm moving all of my streaming formally over to www.twitch.tv/songsnsorcery ; I love Youtube but it's really weak as a streaming platform. If you missed my artwork, I recommend checking me out over there!

- I'm remaking this channel's Discord! It's gonna be less YouTube related and more all-encompassing artwork related. I don't create YT content consistently enough to justify a Discord for it.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to those that celebrate! My gift to you all this season is the first post on this channel ( ft. a woefully squished resized tween animation ) in quite awhile. Not exactly a whole video, but rest assured, that's on the way!

I've gotten tons of questions as to where I plan to take this channel and the long and short of it is that I've more or less fallen out of love with the furry fandom and have become much more enamored with the prospect of creating original character content.

This isn't a "I'm leaving furry" post. It's a "I'm branching out and posting stuff that isn't JUST furry" post. I can't wait to share what I've been cooking for the past few months, hopefully in the form of an update video. I've been scared to shift gears but at the same time I can't be disingenuous to my artistic journey and force myself to put out sub-par content I'm honestly not crazy about making anymore.

Here's to seeing you guys in the new year!

For those that aren't aware: I also do cosplay! I'll be at Florida Polycon next weekend if anyone will be in the area. This is one of my favorite cons of the year and I can't think of a better place to debut my newest build at!

I'll be cosplaying as Gordon Freeman all day and competing in the cosplay contest this time around. I'll also be attending the after-party in Lemon as well, so I'll be raving in fursuit if anyone wants to see her in person!

Oh hey, look who finally got their community tab! Sorry for slacking on my bi-monthly uploads, this little lotl got into college and is currently scrambling to get everything squared away before January! That being said, there will be new content before the year's end. New merch, storyboards, cosplay builds, talk videos ... I have a lot planned! Uploads will be more sporadic, but they'll pick up once I adjust to my new schedule.
