Is outdoor landscape lighting worth it? 💡🏡
Professional landscape lighting does more than make your yard look beautiful at night. It can improve visibility and safety, highlight your home’s landscaping and architectural features, and help you enjoy patios, walkways, gardens, and outdoor living spaces long after the sun goes down.
At Third Heaven Landscape, we incorporate outdoor lighting into landscape transformations throughout Monterey County, including Carmel, Pebble Beach, Monterey, Pacific Grove, and Carmel Valley.

Fridays are for fantastic-looking yards. 🌿
We’re bringing this Salinas project back because it’s still one of our favorite outdoor spaces we’ve completed.
From the curved walkways and river rock to the colorful planting and wide-open lawn, every part of this landscape was designed to work together and create a space that feels open, inviting, and complete.
A year later, we still love looking back at this one.
What’s your favorite part of this yard, the landscaping, the walkway, or all that open green space?

🏡 Before & After Backyard Transformation
It's hard to believe these two photos are of the same backyard.
What was once an overgrown, underused space is now a custom paver patio designed for relaxing, entertaining, and making better use of the outdoors.
Every beautiful project starts long before the first paver is installed. Proper planning, excavation, grading, base preparation, and drainage all play an important role in creating an outdoor space that's built to last.
This transformation is a great reminder that with the right design and preparation, almost any backyard has the potential to become something special.

🏡 Concrete vs. Pavers: Which Would You Choose?
If you were building a new patio today, which material would you choose?
🪨Concrete
☑️ Clean, modern appearance
☑️ Faster installation
⚠️ May develop cracks as the ground naturally shifts
🧱Pavers
☑️ Wide variety of colors and styles
☑️ Individual repairs are often easier
☑️ Great for custom outdoor living spaces
One thing many homeowners don’t realize is that the quality of the base preparation is just as important as the surface material. A properly excavated, compacted, and well-drained foundation helps any patio perform better over time.

💧 What Is a Dry Well?
If you notice puddles that stick around long after it rains, your yard may be telling you it has a drainage problem.
One of the best solutions is a dry well.
A dry well is an underground system that collects excess rainwater and slowly releases it back into the surrounding soil. Instead of allowing water to pool on your lawn or around your home’s foundation, it safely manages the runoff where you can’t even see it.
Why is a dry well important?
✅ Prevents standing water in your yard
✅ Helps protect your home’s foundation
✅ Reduces erosion and muddy areas
✅ Prevents pavers and patios from shifting over time
✅ Keeps your landscape healthier after heavy rain
At Third Heaven Landscape, we believe drainage should never be an afterthought. Before installing pavers, patios, retaining walls, or other outdoor living spaces, we design a drainage system that helps protect your investment for years to come.
A beautiful landscape isn’t just about how it looks—it’s about how it performs.
If you’re dealing with standing water or drainage issues, we’d be happy to evaluate your property and recommend the right solution.
📍 Proudly serving homeowners throughout Monterey County.
