CLIVE ROSFIELD from FINAL FANTASY XVI has just been revealed as the final DLC for TEKKEN 8 at the Game Awards 2024!

Clive Rosfield will be available in early access on Dec. 17 and for general access on Dec. 20 (PST 12/19).

🚨FINAL DLC CHARACTER SPECULATION🚨

Here’s something that’s been on my mind lately…

Almost 8 years ago, on December 12, 2015, Akuma was revealed as the first-ever real guest character from another series in a Tekken game. A crossover no one imagined could happen, yet it left a huge mark on Tekken 7’s legacy whether people loved or hated it.

Now, fast forward 8 years later to December 12, 2024, The Game Awards 2024 10th anniversary show. Tekken 8 is nominated for two awards, and it’s confirmed we’ll see the reveal of the final Season 1 DLC character. This 4th character has an orange aura, and with Tekken 8 built around the Heat system and meters, it got me thinking…

WHAT IF the devs pull off the ultimate move and bring back one of the most controversial characters in Tekken history? Yes, I’m talking about Akuma! He sparked endless debates in Tekken 7 since day 1. And whether people liked it or not, everyone was talking about him for years.

Could they really bring Akuma back on the exact anniversary of his debut 8 years ago? I mean, why not? It feels like the timing is just too perfect for them not to consider it. Remember, everyone was sure we’d never see Heihachi again. He was "100% completely dead" right? But look where we are now. Anything’s possible, even for Akuma one day it could happen!

Whether it’s going to be Akuma, Tifa, Kiryu… All I’m saying is, THIS TIMING is too interesting to just ignore it. Just putting my thoughts here and it's a wild theory.

One thing’s for sure though, the 4th and final DLC character HAS to top Heihachi’s WTF-level comeback and reveal. Honestly, I think Akuma fits all the criteria for that kind of reveal. Still, the chances might be slim because it feels almost TOO GOOD to happen right now.

But just imagine how the FGC would react. It’d be crazy and unexpected, especially with the majority wanting characters such as Tifa, Kiryu, or Baki.

We’ll find out soon enough. Let’s see what happens on December 12.
