u know sometimes im baffled that some people think neferpitou is 2 dimensional....ive seen peeps try and say that neferpitou only character trait is they care about the king....like, have we been watching the same show? neferpitou has tons of interesting character traits and character growth, at the start they are shown as ruthless and cruel, not seeing humans as anything but food or tools/playthings, this is shown when neferpitou trys to bring back kite to "play" with him again, but we also see that neferpitou after that 1 fight, wants to fight, and talks about fighting through the whole arc, when the king shows up, we see them show how they dont care that the king is with komugi, and when gon shows up, neferpitou is 1 of the only royal guards there that GAVE a crap about komugi besides the king, and when pouf calls neferpitou and tells them komugi is safe, neferpitou....didnt have to take gon to kite....they didnt have to say sorry not once, BUT TWICE, the moment that pouf told them, pitou could have just murked gon right there and then, the old neferpitou would have killed gon the moment they was told komugi was safe, but thing that people miss form the kite is dead scene....is that neferpitou didnt want to kill gon, when you look at there face, there not happy, they dont even look excited, they wear a frown because they feel like they HAVE to kill gon, that this is the only way. neferpitou knew they was outmatched and still tried to fight gon anyway. to me neferpitou cares about the king not as there boss, or god, or there king....but as a person, neferpitou cared about the kings feelings, in fact they might as well be 1 of the very few, as the other guards only had there own self interest in mind, sure neferpitou cares about the king, but that IS not the only thing about them, they are playful, curious, willing to speak their mind, loyal and more then anything....the best friend a king could ever ask for, and that is what i think neferpitou is.

u know what im gonna say it, im not a fan of kite, he shows up so little in the anime and manga, and the guy has some really short fights, even worse in the manga cus 1 of them was off screen, speaking of off screen THIS guy gets off screened and then when the chimera ant arc ends, he just gets brought back as a chimera ant.....kite getting brought back feels more like a punch in the face to gons dark spoopy arc of him wanting revenge over kite.
