Owing to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, Kumon after school programme has opened up the possibility of using online instruction to support home-based learning, which further develops each child’s potential individually. Despite the difficult situation, Kumon kids learning Centres chose the tougher route to provide continuity of Kumon study. Instructors also provided instruction online to support home-based learning via social media and online meeting applications such as Zoom. Online instruction has the potential to make the Kumon Method of instruction evolve significantly. Especially, one of the key strengths of online education platforms is that it can play a part in facilitating not only Centre-based learning but also home-based learning. The main focus is on online classes for kids to strive for the best hybrid study format that enhances each child’s learning outcomes.
