Today’s artwork is a traditional Filipino Christmas decor called “Parol”. ⭐️
Back in my elementary days, my crafty mum always helped us make these for our school projects. I can still remember how she made the wreath so fluffy and full, those little details that made my Decembers feel extra magical.
A small piece of home, and a little nostalgia, in today’s art.

This little poem and art were inspired by a childhood memory, back when drawing felt like my whole world.
I would grab a crayon the moment I woke up, even before breakfast. 🎨
Drawing was how I started my day, every day.
I used to say, “When I grow up, I’ll take up Fine Arts” or anything related to drawing in college.
It was my dream, simple and pure. 💕
And though life took a different path, I feel like I did soar in my own little way—by finding my way back to art. ✍️

Today’s tiny poem and art were inspired by my childhood.
I remembered how my siblings and I would fly kite in the field on a windy afternoon, slide down the hill, peel and eat sugarcane as our snacks and when we got home, our goat just gave birth. 🐐🪁

It’s one of those simple memories I’ll always cherish. 💕
