We’ve named our daughter Prisha (प्रिशा). Derived from Sanskrit, Prisha translates to “God’s gift” .. which of course she is for us! ❤️☺️ sharing a few snippets from her 2 month birthday.
As first time parents, the past couple of months have been quite hard.. I’ve had major brain fog from all the sleep deprivation.. pain in wrists from holding her.. breastfeeding has been a journey in itself.. Infact, when I look back at these 2 months it feels like this is definitely the hardest thing I have ever done! And then, she gives this gorgeous, innocent toothless smile… in an instant I forget everything and start cuddling this bundle of joy.. 🥰 🧿
The entire process of delivery and labour pains had me wondering - “how have women been doing it and that too multiple times” 🥹🥲
Anyhow now that we’ve made it to the other side of the finish line (yes it does feel like that 😅) the excitement is such that the sleepless nights aren’t bothering me for now 😄🥹
It feels surreal to see a tiny human in my hands and to think she came out of me 🥹🥹🥹🥹 the heart is full of gratitude and only gratitude. Thank you for all your kind wishes and blessings 😇❤️🙏🏻🧿
A different #karwachauth than my previous ones coz for once I was totally unbothered about my outfit or getting “good pictures” clicked 😂 But still a truly wholesome one coz for the first time I wasn’t alone for the festivities.. had my mum ofcourse, then mother in law and FIL joined us all few days ago and a surprise but wonderful addition was my masi.
As you grow older you realise festivals feel like festivals when you have your closed ones around ☺️😇
10 more days to go.. let’s see when the lil one decides to come 💕
Officially the 9th month has started and as much as the delivery process makes me nervous I’m supremely excited to meet our little one. The past few months have been quite the roller coaster ride. On some days I’d feel extremely energetic and the next I’d lie in bed the whole day being emotional for no real reason, haha.
As some of you might know, before I started my content creation/ influencer (whatever you wanna call it!) journey I used to work at Fabindia. It is at this amazing organization that I developed a taste for Indian handicrafts like the Ajrakhs, the Indigos, the Applique .. and visits to the handicraft clusters made me realise the kind of hard work that goes behind such craftsmanship. Coming to the point, since then I’ve had the opportunity to work with multiple brands in this category and very recently I got to work with Maati Crafts (a brand that I’ve long admired for their contemporary designs and a strong focus on delivering quality products). Even my mum is in awe of their pieces and in general very excited that they all fit her as well.. haha!!
I’d like to believe that it’s our baby who has brought us this good luck and also tons of energy for her mum to continue working during this time. Let’s see what’s in store for the next few weeks and finally when our Diwali baby decides to arrive. ❤️🥰💕
A polka dot fabric (6m), lace trim stitched to it along with minor finishing that’s how mum created this saree back in 2018. She wore this quite often to work and would say it doesn’t need ironing and gets me compliments each time 😅
Later when I started posting YouTube videos I wore this saree multiple times with different pieces. With a saree, what I love is that no matter what age or what shape you’re in there is always something creative & fun you can do with it!
Ps thank you for all the lovely comments on this look. Some of you are so kind with your words that I’m left teary eyed reading them (or maybe it’s just my hormones at this point 🥲)
Outfit Details: Shirt: it’s from Zara. Bought it only for £9 on sale. 🙃 I’m wearing size L. Earrings: swww.instagram.com/sadabahaar.jewelry/ Necklace: from my wedding trousseau. Bangles and ring: www.instagram.com/janpathonline/ Lipstick: Nars Cosmetics (shade: don’t stop). If you’ve noticed me wearing red lip in the recent times it is this lipstick. It’s matt & doesn’t feel dry on the lips. So really enjoy wearing it.
Of all the lovely comments I got yesterday the ones that said “Prerna you are going to be an amazing mother” left me teary eyed.🥹 Mostly because I already find myself worrying about stuff like “How will I know how to care for my child?” Or “He/she will be so tiny I hope I’m able to hold the baby 😅” Infact the other day we were taking a walk in the park & saw a tiny baby in his father’s arms. I immediately said to vaibhav “I hope you’ll hold our child coz I can’t 🥺” Well I’m sure this will be the least of my many concerns once the baby arrives.. agree?
It was our 6 year anniversary on 12th, so I thought I'll share some of our best moments. A part of me is amazed at the thought that I have been married for six years 🤯 while the heart can't believe it's been 6 years 🥺
When we got married the only thing I was sure of was that this person will help me grow.. he'll be my biggest cheerleader just as my parents have been!! While there are so many things that don't go as planned in a marriage but I'm grateful that we've helped each other be the best version of ourselves. bas aur kya maangu bhagwan se 😭
