Hello, 51.
It feels strange even saying it or writing it. Mentally, I still feel 31 sometimes even 21 🤪. I remember being that age and thinking, wow, 51 is old! If only I knew 🤪.
The years make you older and wiser. You live, you grow. You make mistakes and you celebrate accomplishments. You experience good days and bad days. Friends come and friends go. One day you’re 21, and then you blink… and 30 years have passed.
Time really does fly.
As I reflect on the past and look toward the present and the future, I’m reminded how important it is to soak in these days no matter the age. Why rush the seasons? Why rush the days? Every day, every breath matters, because the clock keeps ticking whether we’re paying attention or not.
I’m heading into 2026 with the intention of slowing down and soaking in the moments, not rushing through them. This year also marks my 15th year since starting Mother Thyme, which honestly feels wild to say out loud. What began as a simple blogging hobby grew into my food blogging era (which I’ll always be thankful for), and eventually evolved into the home and lifestyle content I love sharing today.
I have lots of fun things planned for 2026, and I can’t wait to take you along for it all. Thank you for being here whether you just found me or you’ve been following along for years. I’m so grateful for you and wish you and your family a very happy New Year.
I’m soaking in the last few days of the holidays and my birthday weekend, and I’ll see you Monday as I kick off 2026 content 🤍

Happy Sunday friends! My video Friday got delayed - I’m hoping it goes up tomorrow! It’s a fun Falloween decorating video including a yummy slow cooker recipe for Crock-tober so stay tuned! In the meantime I’ve been having fun getting all my decor ready for the most wonderful time of the year so I’m ready deck the halls early November and I wanted to share this pretty gingerbread centerpiece with you.
