It may be hard to believe, but this year marks the twentieth anniversary of the release of "Midnight Club 3". To honor the anniversary, I plan to release a series of videos of the game's vehicles. The start will be just over a week from now and the finish should land exactly twenty years after the game was released.
This month marks the five-year anniversary of the release of "The Crew 2". Because of that and the impending release of "Motorfest", I am proposing a challenge: a recreation of the Cannonball.
The Challenge: Get from New York City to Los Angeles.
What You Need:
-A YouTube account
-"The Crew 2" on any system
-A way to record footage from that system and post it on your YouTube channel.
To Enter: Just record the journey and post it on your channel. A link to the video would be appreciated, posted in the comments.
The Route: You may take any route as long as you start and finish at the designated start and finish lines. The start is the Headquarters like building at the west end of Brooklyn, south of the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. The finish is the Santa Monica Pier on the west end of Los Angeles. If you're having trouble finding these, the video linked should show you.
What You Must Do:
-Use a land or sea vehicle. No airplanes or helicopters.
-Record the entire journey. Don't cut to the end.
-Use the same vehicle from start to finish. No changing vehicles.
What You Can Do:
-Drive anywhere that takes you from the designated start to the designated finish. You can even go off-road if you want.
-Use any view (behind the car, cockpit view, hood cam). -Use a waypoint.
-Customize your vehicle. (In fact, I encourage it.)
The Prize: There isn't one. There will be no trophy, no money, no headlines. Just a few magic moments flat out against the redline.
Thank you for reading. I hope to see you there.
Due to a crisis occurring in my personal life, I've decided to cut back on playing games and hold off on posting videos. This break is not meant to be permanent but I'm not exactly in the right frame of mind for that.
