So since I am literally tired of seeing all the hate towards BTS for the W korea's Breast Cancer awareness event I will share my thoughts about this as an army myself (as a Army ktuber I had to speak)
So very honestly as a eye of a viewer
What happened at the W Korea breast cancer awareness event was a matter of tone and context, not cruelty or intention. RM, Taehyung, and J-Hope attended as guests, and we all know they didn’t organize or control the event’s setup it was all W Korea’s production and sponsors who decided on the atmosphere, drinks, lighting, and overall vibe.
And Yes, seeing idols drinking, laughing, and taking photos at an event for a disease that affects millions worldwide understandably upset people because for few it felt disrespectful to the cause and that’s a fair criticism. We can say they should’ve been more aware of the event’s nature and adjusted their behavior accordingly
So yeah RM, TAE and JHOPE could have spoken about the actual awareness and event motive and being disappointed is a valid feeling
But hate and cancellation? That’s extreme. I mean I've been seeing so many like so many comments posts videos hate and even Armys saying that they are leaving the fandom just because of this I mean this is absolutely senseless while keeping in mind they didn’t mock the cause. They didn’t make harmful statements. They attended something that should have been about awareness, but the organizers turned it into something else. Holding them fully responsible for that isn’t fair at the least W korea had full responsibility for the set up which didn't contain a single pink ribbon or a poster. Still many people are blaming only the idols not the organisers of the event.
I think what they don't deserve hate but more like constructive accountability. Like “I hope next time they use their influence to support the cause more directly,”
NOT
“they’re heartless” or “they failed us.”
Also, the mass negativity from some fandoms and ex-fans feels less about genuine concern and more about a chance to drag big names. It’s okay to expect better, but it’s not okay to dehumanize people who have done so much good before. Like the people who are commenting now on BTS know how much they frequently donate but this one mistake made people blind about those things
you know what they say is true even if there is a whole white board with a small black dot people will always point on the small black dot and mock rather than acknowledging the whole big white board infront of them
And let's not forget that many Armys donated because of BTS as they knew about the event because of them
If anything, this moment should be a reminder even idols can make mistakes in judgment, and they can learn from them. But it doesn’t erase their kindness, their donations in the past, or everything they’ve done for awareness causes.
As a true Army I totally am defending my idols from the unnecessary stupid hate and am acknowledging the situation too
So Now to all the people who will come after me as calling me blind defender so honey I think you're the one blind here so do anything idc
