We need to take a minute to remember a few things that we forgot about over the last couple of decades regarding this country, who runs it, and look at what the fuck is really going on, and what we need to do to help sort everything out. First we must face the surging opioid epidemic, investing in treatment solutions for those willing, and make available detox and treatment centers for those caught in the judicial system, work with human services and treatment organizations to save all people on American soil from perpetual homelessness and poverty, eliminating the abling system of so called safety nets, and help people able and willing to learn get into schools and training programs and free, peer, community, or subsidized counseling for all who want or need help with behavioral and psychological addiction needs, and continue to work with the CDC and WHO and other world leaders to combat Covid-19 strains and variants, and help all people on American soil cope with the devastating effects of this pandemic. I'm not sure if idiotic isn't the right term when dealing with folks who refuse be part of a solution. Selfish, self-serving, knowingly-naïve, ignorantly-abled, all of these come to mind. But calling people stupid for not being interested in saving their and other people's lives because of their misinformed and echo chambered beliefs doesn't seem to help much. I will say that.
