*🎬 MR. & MRS. MAHI FILM REVIEW - LAST BALL HITS BOUNDARY SHOT 🎬*

*STORY BASE*

A failed cricketer, Mahendra, becomes a cricket coach to his newly married wife, Dr. Mahima, and he gives a great challenge to his father, Hardayal Aggarwal in the name of sureshot victory.

Did Mahendra win the great challenge OR did he face more challenges *?!*

*! I M P R E S S I O N S !*

*PREMISE*

The film has an interesting premise, but due to the lack of empathy to the protagonist's journey, it do not give you a feel of completion.

For example, in 'Chak De! India' (starring SRK) and 'Dangal' (starring Aamir Khan), we have a strong EMPATHY to the protagonist.

*FATHER & SON BONDING*

The father's character arc is written well and is well-supported overall in the film. The father's end arc moment is neatly delivered, creating an emotional & clapping moment. The father and son drama is well-written and relatable.

*DIALOGUES*

A few dialogues worked well in the film. In one sequence, Mahendra's father asks his wife, "Great line, ji. Is this from WhatsApp?" His wife replies, "From life." The pre-climax sequences between the mother and son also delivers some thought-provoking conversation .

*PHILOSOPHICAL TOUCH*

The director's philosophical touch about recognition and appreciation is laudable. A courageous move by the creators to craft a grey hero within the visibility of a noble guy projection. What hits hard solid is the food for thought fed in the end through this wonderful hero characterization.

*END NOTE*

Jahnvi as Mrs. Mahi is a surprising relief to watch bcz here she's more in a homely avatar, added with some substantial efforts to fit in the promised cricket milieu, gracefully. Hence serving as an eye candy in a no-nonsense cast.

*RAJKUMAR RAO'S PERFORMANCE*

Rajkumar Rao delivered a very neat performance as a blind person. There is one sequence in the film where he is thrown out of the special school. Afterwards, he gets stuck in the middle of a busy road. He nailed the sequence as an incredible actor, and I connected well with the character emotionally from that moment onwards. National Award worthy performance.


*JYOTHIKA & RAJKUMAR RAO - MENTORSHIP BONDING*

CLASS APART!

A mentor like Devika mam is a visionary light in the darkness to every mentee in the world. She is an amazing blend of a teacher, friend, companion, well-wisher and mother. In short she's Srikanth's eyes!

*ROMANCE & MUSIC*

Such a clean, fresh and matured portrayal of romance in the recent times. Alaya is like an eye cooler, delivering a realistic and subtle drama, adding an important ray of dimension in the protagonist's journey. Cute and sweet. Kudos to the music team, great efforts in the musical storytelling.


*SCREENPLAY*

The film captured Srikanth's life from birth to adulthood. While capturing his journey, it offers an empathetic epic.

*SET-UP & PAY OFF MOMENTS*

Srikanth's father names his son after cricketer Krishnamachari Srikanth. Later, he discovers that his son is blind. The writer provides a stupendous surprising pay-off for that sequence, showcasing one of the best directorial touches in the film.

*DIALOGUE*

Another significant aspect of the film is the dialogue writing. Like the airport sequence between Jyothika and Rajkummar Rao, as well as the courtroom sequence are classic examples of good and sensible writing.

*BREAKING THE STEREOTYPE*

In this film, there is no camera angle from Srikanth's point of view with a black screen, even when he is stuck in the middle of the traffic. The black screen is never used to evoke sympathy for the character because he does not seek sympathy; he only wants equal rights and opportunities like everyone else in the world.

I'M WATCHING IT AGAIN.

The story of the love affair between the courtly dancer Anarkali and Prince Salim had fascinated Indian film-makers for many years but it was K. Asif who finally managed to bring it to the screen. Many historians discredit the authenticity of the story but it is universally appreciated for its seamless direction, superb cinematography, grand costumes and sets and meticulous attention to detail. Mughal-E-Azam was a huge commercial success too, breaking all box office records at the time of its release. The film was originally shot in black and white with only a few scenes and one song in color. In 2009, the entire movie was colorized, restored and re-released worldwide.
