I call it wild experimental gardening. Other than a few classroom gardens, this is the first garden in my 60 years. The world would be so much better if everyone had a garden.

A bit of work today in the crowded greenhouse. Moved a large water container inside next to the south wall. The water will heat up during the day and help keep the greenhouse warm at night. Also connected the two batteries together.

Came across this critter while out for a walk. It is a member of the blister beetle family. DO NOT TOUCH! It will irritate your skin. It's about the size of a fingernail. Megetra Cancellata
The beetle is represented in Diné (Navajo) Tradition as didzé yooyéełii, the Pot Carrier.

I said goodbye to my little girl Twinkie this week. Her health has been declining over the past few months, and she's a tough little fighter, but at 15 years old she just didn't have the strength to keep going.
After being rescued from the streets of Phoenix, she and Cooper went on some pretty amazing adventures. After Cooper passed away 5 years ago Twinkie was a great comforter and companion.
I already miss her...
