We are receiving many comments to our videos and are grateful for each and every one of them, if you voice your personal opinion about the video or its content. We also appreciate if you highlight any factual errors, which we will try to correct, if possible.
If you want to draw attention to other content however, we will be in the future stringent and ask you to follow these rules:
explain why you think the link provided adds to the discussion
provide only links to reputable sources, including researchers, research institutions, scientific publishers or accepted news outlets
we will delete every comment which provides a link, without explanation, independent of the content
We will delete any link to remedies or health advice, which does not conform with standards of the resolution of the World Health Assembly on eHealth standardization as descibed here: www.hon.ch/HONcode/

If we conclude your posts are not sticking to our rules, in particular if they are off topic, insulting or lack scientific basis we may delete your comments.

Also we are a science channel, meaning we aim to attract attention to science. We are not ready to explain all the science we are touching upon in our videos. Partly, because we may not know every detail either, but mostly because the youtube forum is not really useful for explaining science, which requires references, images and links. there are otehr forums like reddit, which are much more suitable for this and we are active there. We do not claim to be experts or active researchers, we are interested in science and aim to give accurate accounts of findings we find inspiring. We invite you to follow up on the information we provide with further reading and engaging in content we provide in our descriptions or credits.

We do get many comments from creationists and other people who do not think evolution has scientific basis. Clearly evolution is a basic fact of life, which has been shown to be at work and we are amazed by the miraculous complexity which has arisen on this planet simply by countless cycles of natural selection from heritable variation. I personally find this much more amazing than the thought of divine intervention, but this is just a personal opinion. If you are a creationist and feel you want to contribute to the discussion on our channel, you are obviously invited to do so. But be kind and courteous, do not make demands on others and stick to the basic rules of scientific discussion (like anybody else please).
Here is a nice appraisal how to engage creationists as a scientist: ncse.ngo/answers-standard-creationist-arguments

Thank you for your kind consideration and we appreciate your support!

The corona pandemic drives an enormous interest in science topics and in recent months we received more widespread attention than before. This supported an enormous growth in our subscriptions with 1.2 new subscribers from our first coronavirus video alone, which was posted only 6 weeks ago and received more than 240k views already. This is even more astounding, as youtube refrains from directing traffic towards our videos, as we are not an accredited information source.
As a result we have now exceeded 10k subscriptions to our channel. Thank you all for subscribing to our material and also for actively contributing with comments and likes. We really appreciate your input.
Our second coronavuris video has not really received the same attention as the first one and we wonder why. Any comments or hints would be highly appreciated!

Several comments to our videos relate to the poor sound quality, and indeed we need to apologise to our outstanding media designers to accompany first rate visuals with second rate (if at all) sound quality. In our most recent visualisation of p53 we partnered up with chris@trockenmoos.com. He is responsible for a truely wonderful sound and it was actually so much fun to work with him. Listen to the vid and please let us know what you think of it.
And visit www.trockenmoos.com/index2.html if you care!

Many people commented that the injectors in Steven Universe are resembling our bacteriophages. Rebecca Sugar and her team were obviously inspired by phages and not us by the cartoon show, which is acknowledged here: steven-universe.fandom.com/wiki/Injectors
There are several other cartoons, which have aliens or other badies inspired by bacteriophages like Dr. Phineas Phage from the Venture Bros. show.
I wonder which other cartoons have a cast inspired by bacteriophages, and are there only badies?

Our phage video was used ‪@EMBL-EBI‬ for their 12 structures for XMas, if you have not seen it yet, stop over there: https://youtu.be/rt3uAMKqNl8?list=PLs... and you may learn a few new things about phages from Osman Salih.
In the mean time please enjoy the holidays and have a happy NEw Year until we rejoin you here in this channel with a new vid early in January!

We are very happy and thank you for all the positive feedback we continuously receive to our videos. Today our phage video https://youtu.be/V73nEGXUeBY exceeded 200k views, while the DNA insertion into the T4 phage capsid exceeded 10k https://youtu.be/RbL3BZCGPA4
You make us so very proud!
It appears phage videos are really interesting to you all and we will soon work on another phage vid based on www.ebi.ac.uk/pdbe/entry/pdb/6q3g of P68. But in the mean time while you are watiting we would appreciate if you browse through our other content and let us know below what your favourite non-phage vids are. Thank you!

We are really happy about our recent increase in subscriptions. Welcome to this channel and I hope you are here to stay! We are only a small company and our capacity to produce videos is very limited. However, we will always focus on high-quality molecular nimations, which aim to be scientifically accurate as much as possible.

Thus we have to pool our resources and would be happy to hear what you would be interested to see from us in the near future. Please let us know, which of the projects we are currently working on you are most interested. If none of the three options resonates with you, please let us know further ideas of what we should be doing some time soon in the comments. Also we would like to hear whether you are happy to have a short animation with a brief explanation, or maybe would appreciate a short animation flanked with a scientist/presenter explaining further details about the science supported by simpler illustrations. Thank you for your feedback and keep watching, liking, sharing and commenting our content!

Our channel has surpassed 1,600 subscriptions after 2 weeks of very fast growth, which was driven by youtube creating enormous amounts of impressions for our phage video. Below you can see the astonishing trajectory of our subscriptions.
We thank you all for your interest in our content and we will aim to post some new videos of the same quality regularly. We appreciate you sharing, liking and commenting to maybe trigger another one of these peaks in the near future. Until then thank you for bearing with us!

Our Phage Video did recently exceed 100.000 views, which is an astonishing number. We are grateful for all the positive comments, likes and also criticism. We take this as encouragement to continue with our young channel. Please also check the text we wrote to accompany this very brief video and references, if you are interested in further info about phages. IMportantly we will take more care with the audio in our future productions, as clearly this does not match the quality of the images and recherche. So thank you all for your input and please continue to like, follow and share our content!
