Here, I share what moves me in this kaleidescope of a world we are trying to figure out in it's truly chaotic state. I create with my heart with the intention to move your heart in a way that may somehow benefit you.

I share the words in my heart through posts and playlists and I am totally biased about my favorites! I'm not paid for my words here, in keeping with the founding spirit of OTBI: To write for the love of ink, not for profit.

So, what can OTBI bring to the table? Words, words, and more words. Art and books, both foreign and domestic. Photography. Cooking. Gardening. Lifelong learning. Gratitude to God. And a sense of presence, irony and good humor.

A bit of a rant...

Literally and figuratively, power sucks. As does the power struggle fueled by greed, the foolish exploitation of vital power produced by planet Earth, and the reckless disregard for long-term negative consequences for future generations. Why are the arrogant pursuits of a few "visionaries " and those that do their bidding for a payday allowed such a carte blanche to produce this kind of future for the human race?

I was just reminiscing about my surf days along the Pacific coast. Westport is my home break. Take good care out there, good people. ❤️ Ironically, I was in Hawaii when the last tsunami struck. The countdown in the darkness is surreal on an island.
