Welcome! I show how worm farming and gardening can bring joy in an accessible and fun way to everyone. I upload videos primarily on worm farming, my garden and worm science education. I build these videos using a combination of my experience as a former high school biology teacher, home worm farmer and research methods University instructor.
This channel was initially created to show Mica, my granddaughter, my new red wiggler worm farms and things growing in my garden. Mica could not come visit during the early days of the pandemic and this was a way that I could show her the wonderful world of worms. I was a beginner worm farmer, too, so the early videos show my learning curve. <cringe>
I also have multiple sclerosis and use a mobility scooter, so some of the videos show my fumbling MS fingers dropping things and my efforts to focus a video while balancing sideways on my scooter!
Thanks for watching, subscribing and commenting!

On a personal note, we lost our beloved canine companion for the last eight years, Flash, yesterday. Many of you will remember him from his cameos in my videos! He died swiftly from a ruptured, undiagnosed splenic tumour. I took this picture of a rainbow from our front garden just hours before he died. RIP sweet boy! I have some pre-recorded videos I will get out in the next few days. Thank you so much for your love and support. ππ

We never made it to the ice fields, so I didn't do a live video. Flash had an anxiety attack from the trip here, so we stayed at our resort for the next 36 hours and walked around the lake instead.

What's next? I still have two "old" videos to upload, so Cinderella and Peekaboo are up next with their final feedings before our move! After that, I have some really interesting worm science videos planned on worm longevity, breeding, survivability, and paper bedding types. Although we are in our new home, we are still UNPACKING and, I just ruptured my eardrum, which isn't helping! Thanks for watching and your continued support!

We're getting there! Our house is almost fully packed. Movers come in 10 days. We're still looking for our next home to buy. My worms are being patient (I hope!). I have a few more videos to do before the big day, including how I'm going to pack up and transport all my worms and castings! Thanks for all your support.

It takes a long time to pack up a garden after 35 years in a home. Here's just one of many loads of my container plants ready to leave. These ones are going to be babysat by my sister until we find our new permanent home.

I'm thrilled to announce that we've sold our home! I'll wrap up some loose ends, including uploading worm science videos, before I make new content about prepping my worms for the move. They need to go into temporary housing until we find our new home. I'm also looking forward to doing a few more garden tours before we leave our home of 35 years.

Italian honey figs ripening up nicely in my greenhouse here on southern Vancouver Island. Look at those healthy leaves β that's the power of worm castings! Those leaves would do Adam proud!
