Zuljanah was the revered Arabian stallion of Imam Husayn ibn Ali, famously ridden during the tragic Battle of Karbala in 680 CE. Known for his strength, endurance, and profound loyalty, the horse is heavily honoured in our traditions and annual Muharram processions....

The horse fought bravely, refused to leave Imam Husayn's side, and shielded his master from incoming arrows.

Return to Karbala: Following Imam Husayn's martyrdom, Zuljanah returned to the camp bloodied and riderless, alerting and safeguarding the women and children of the tragedy.
