hi friends!! i need to say a few things. i understand that you guys don't know me, so let me share a bit about me.
i'm 37, i live in florida with my husband and 2 kids. i hate being in front of the camera, never take selfies, don't like public speaking, i'm an introvert, and the only way i can even make the content i do is 1. by the grace of God lol and 2. because it's just me in my room. it's very unnatural for me to make content and look into the camera/or myself, which is why in the beginning, i used to look off to the side.. lol, which was weird, and why i now look at you guys. i get very nervous while filming videos, which is why i blink too much, or not enough, or don't smile much, or too much.. i never do anything intentionally to distract or appear weird, it's just how it comes out.
if you met me in person, like many did at SEEK in january, you'd be surprised at how personable i am lol, i think the number one comment i got from people was "i didn't realize you'd be so funny!" i was like wow i need to learn how to incorporate a joke or two in my videos so people know i'm not a sad robot.
i started posting about my faith because it was an overflow of my own spiritual life, and if you've watched my content for awhile, you know that i've gone through the natural highs and lows of being a christian which include desolation and spiritual dryness. i don't post to get money, i didn't start this with the hopes of making this my full time "carreer" - i just felt a passion for sharing about our catholicism since i myself went to catholic school for over 12 years and left not knowing much about my faith. when i reverted back over 5 years ago, i discovered so many things about our faith that are never talked about, never taught in schools, never discussed at church.. and i wanted to share what i knew, how i felt and what i was learning with anyone else like me. i still work a 9-5 normal job, i do this as a passion, and of course i would love the oppurtunity to do this full time and crank out videos much more frequently.. but for now, this is all i can do with the time i have. my first ministry/vocation is my family and my online content can only be done if i tend to them first.
with all of that said, i'm not ai lol. i know i am pretty somber in my videos, or blink too much.. or not enough.. but i don't know what else to say. i invested heavily in professional grade camera and lighting, which makes the video crisp and makes me look shiny LOL but i dont mess with video editing, aside from trimming down long pauses or mistakes. i do hope to upgrade my microphone soon.. i can't seem to figure out how to fidget with the one i have to make my audio better, but it's a work in progress.
anyways, i've you've read this far - thank you for being here, for the comments and support and messages you all leave. means the world to me!
and below is the last selfie i took so you can see yes, it is me, sometimes i have grey hair (thanks genetics) sometimes i have wrinkles, sometimes i look fantastic, sometimes my eyebrows look weird and sometimes you can see my acne scars, i can't help it lol.. it just all depends lol.

one thing that mattered a lot to me when creating this was true formation. catholic formation isn’t meant to be done in isolation, and it does involve our clergy. that’s why it was important to me that the bible study includes an actual priest, alongside someone like austin, who is an incredible teacher and such a gift to this space. if you’re not familiar with them yet, i think you’ll really love getting to know them.
i also want to be clear that all of my regular videos will still be here on youtube. nothing is being taken away or moved behind a paywall. if you’re here for that content, you’re already exactly where you need to be. the patreon is simply for those who want the additional conversations, deeper dives and a more private community setting.
some content there will always be free, and the paid option is just that, an option. no pressure at all. i just wanted to create a space where we can slow down, ask questions, learn, pray and grow together in a more personal way.

When we choose God, we are not confined. We are freed from sin, from disordered desires, from the thoughts and habits that pull us away from what is good. We are freed from the grasp of the evil one who thrives on distraction and confusion.
When our desires are ordered toward the good, we are most free. Free from sin. Free from evil thoughts. Free to love God clearly.
