Believe Women when We Say, I Am in Pain

This channel is dedicated to telling my horrific health journey also experienced by many other women & men seeking medical care.

I studied Health Education, Health Science and Wellness, and working for WIC- yet found myself disabled after being misdiagnosed as having fibromyalgia. In fact, I had a rare autoimmune disorder called Reactive Arthritis (ReA), resulting from a bacterial infection in the form of food poisoning I contracted about a month earlier.

In Fall 2013 I quickly fell ill seemingly out of nowhere. It was the beginning of 11 years of sheer physical hell and torture. After 11 years of desperately seeking an accurate diagnosis, I’m still fighting for proper treatment and pain management.

This channel shows the reality of my pain and real life trauma of medical gaslighting, medical gatekeeping and doctor’s ego in the care process.

If you know me, the last 11 years has turned my world upside down and crushed my Hope. I do not want this to happen to anyone else.

Believe Women when We Say, I Am in Pain

This video from October 24th, 2024 sums up my overall health and medical situation. My experience mirrors how millions in the USA are desperately seeking care for illnesses and conditions that keep us from living a full and productive life. Yet, Americans struggle for basic medical care, hampered with cruelty by the health care system itself and the insurance industry that makes billions from our combined illnesses while we lose our loved ones, our mental health, employment, homes, friends, respect, experiences, joy and Hope. #believewomen #reactivearthritis #invisibleillness #chronicpain
