NEW CHANNEL NAME:
I even had to change the channel name in the end. It’s the same story every time there’s drama, someone always takes it a step further. Especially over the past few weeks, a few accounts have been consistently accusing me of deleting comments. Honestly, even setting aside the last few weeks, I’ve deleted very few comments since the channel was created. And even if I had deleted comments, I don’t know if that would justify doxxing (or more) a random channel owner.

There are many much larger fan-run channels in this YouTube space, and even though they don’t clarify things as clearly as I do, no one addresses them as if they’re the main creator. I’ve never posted anything in the comments pretending to be the streamer, and I’ve always made it clear in every video description (since channel started), in the channel bio (since channel started), and even on the banner (after the first wave of mass harassment), that this is just a fan-run clips channel.

Second, I’ve tried to understand where this latest wave of mass wave going on for the past 12 hours is coming from. It seems to be about some issue with the idea of “reacting to videos.” I don’t know much about Twitch’s policies, but YouTube’s policies are very clear, and they have an entire system in place for it that works very well. If the complainant has a youtube channel, they can see other channels where their videos are used and can even instantly remove them and strike the other channel.

Not just Ethan anyone whose content appears on this channel, including Denims (whose videos I’ve uploaded with temporary permission for about two years now), can send a copyright claim at any time. And that takes just five minutes. There’s no need for a legal process, and it can be even more devastating and faster than that. Right now, the channel already has one strike. If two more strikes are issued, the entire channel will be permanently deleted. Each strike immediately removes the video and (if any) the ad revenue is transferred to the claimant and shadowban (algorithm stuff) occurs. And all this can happen in just a few days. Like I said even if I had verbal permission, anyone featured in the videos, including Denims, can still submit a claim.

This whole thing has become extremely exhausting, and to avoid more drama, I’ve significantly reduced how much EK content I upload. And in order not to gain anything from it, after the main audience sees it (two or three days) I make the video private since the first mass harrasment.

And now, as a last action, I’m adding the “Fan Run” tag to the channel name. If this continues (and every new wave of drama brings even more extreme takes, like the one in the image), I honestly don’t want to deal with it anymore, and I’ll just stop. I’m not a mainstream creator. I just take clips of streams, trim out the dead space (adding jumpcut), and upload them to YouTube. I’m not as durable or resilient as the people involved in this creator stuff (Denims, Ethan, Hasan, Asmon, etc). What they do becomes incredibly difficult under these conditions. And even though just a couple of comments already stress me out, I can fully empathize with how terrifying a full-blown mass harassment campaign must be.

--
I make very few comments or hearts about the subjects(dramas or events) that are actually discussed on this channel. I usually reply to comments about the content title, description and direction of the channel, "this is not official channel" stuff and I almost never delete comments. You may be confusing with different creators. There can be multiple fan run channels for a streamer (e.g. there are dozens of fanrun youtube channel for hasan or anyone else..)

--
Also Denims published gofundme for latest drama in her twitter account. You can check the latest situation from twitter (x).

--
I had a goal of reaching 500 videos and passint the Official Denims channel in terms of subscribers xD. Looks like I have a long way to go due to these kind of pauses.

--
I should also add, for those who are not familiar with the concept of a fan run channels: I don't get paid or anything from Denims for this. I just have a simple permission with a message to share their content by splitting and editing it on another platform(YouTube) and deliver this videos to her YouTube audience or new audiences. So I am not an employee under her. It doesn't mean that I am not making money or learning something. As you can see on Socialblade, the channel has a small financial return (through youtube ads.) so I can pay my dormitory fees for example. I can also keep up with politics and the agenda, so it's a win win situation all the way around and for everyone even for other people in the videos, the snowball effect .

be happy, stay hydrated,

Unofficial Edited Clips of DenimsTV

Hi, just a quick note about the channel before the upcoming video.

The first one is about the YouTube channel and the deleted videos. This is my first time running a YouTube channel. About two years ago, I started uploading edited versions of Denims’ Twitch VODs with simple permission. It was a good first step for me to follow US politics more closely. Since then, I haven’t had any contact with Denims. In one of the videos by Ethan and Asmongold’s editors, the name of this channel (formerly known as Denims Daily) appeared briefly in a clip. As a result, that same day, tons of videos (most of which had nothing to do with the drama) were flooded with hate comments. The dislike ratios fired, and it seems like many videos were mass reported. To test this, I kept one completely unrelated video on the channel for a few days, and the negative/hate stuff continued. So I decided to remove most of the affected videos to protect the channel. Still, it didn’t help much. For almost two months (up until last week), I believed the channel was shadow banned.

Until now, I didn’t want to comment because I wasn’t the subject of the situation. But since this whole thing keeps going, I felt the need to explain this part. I’ve never had any personal or other type of conversation with Denims. During the drama period, the comments were extremely hateful, so I tried to reach out to her. I said I’d be willing to shut down the channel immediately if she wanted me to. I didn't get a reply because I had to write in another way because I had lost the e-mail/dc account (it almost 2 years…). Since I could tell from her streams that she seemed somewhat supportive, I continued uploading. But to this day (from the beginning of the channel and even during the drama) I’ve never received any instructions for any video. And just like she said, she really doesn’t know who I am.. my name, gender, the state I live in, or anything else.

As you can see on Socialblade, I don’t really earn much from this channel. But it’s not like I make nothing either. It helps me pay for a few small bills, and that’s more than enough for me—plus, it allows me to keep following politics regularly. If you’ve noticed, the least edited videos on the channel are the drama ones. I upload them because they get a lot of attention.

This is fan-run youtube channel. I added this quote 3 times in description almost more than 2 months.

Take care.
