I remember feeling overwhelmed when I'd see tech 'bros' flaunting their multiple screens filled with what seemed like gibberish to me (lines of code).
As a math professional, I fell prey to the misconception that strong math skills are a prerequisite for entering the tech industry. I was also held back by the myth that you must have a computer science degree to understand coding. These, among other myths and misconceptions, may be deterring many from exploring opportunities in IT.
However, my curiosity and determination to challenge these misconceptions led me to discover a different reality. Contrary to popular belief, not all tech roles demand extensive coding skills – some even require none at all!
I learned that one doesn't need to memorize every syntax or type at lightning speed like in the movies to excel in the tech realm. Instead, success in IT hinges on the ability to provide innovative solutions and deliver tangible business value.
