I can’t believe it. In about 3 months my next book will be out and you all will be able to paint some more adorable animals with me, including Paolo the platypus, Heather the Highland cow, and of course we needed Preston- the pufferfish that started this all!
The new book has all of the things you loved from the first book: QR codes to videos and the templates, important watercolor lessons built into each painting, and illustrations to help you through all the steps and make you feel successful. So much love and joy has been put into this book and I can’t wait for it to be out and in everyone’s hands.
Just like last time, I have a pre-order gift for you and this time my publisher is helping make it even more special. Whether you've already pre-ordered or order anytime prior to its release September 22nd, you can get a bonus full real-time tutorial of Dottie the Donkey. PLUS, the first 500 to fill out the form will get a signed bookplate. And if you’re one of the first 100, you’ll also get one of the white gel pens I used int he book to add the perfect finishing touches to our little animals. And international friends, I made sure you were included too - so everyone is eligible for both the physical prizes and the bonus video.
You can find some pre-order links here: geni.us/AdorableAnimals
Or fill out the form for the extra goodies here:

Which animal are you most looking forward to painting? I’d love to hear in the comments.
p.s. sorry for accidentally posting this a bunch of times, I was getting an error earlier and it "wasn't posting" but...apparently it was. Over and over again. Yikes.

Thank you so much for those of you who were able to join in on my live for Workshop Week! You all certainly know how to make a girl blush- and read/type fast.
This week has been such a joy and definitely a great jumping off point if someone wanted to kickstart a new hobby. Which has had me wondering- how does this time of year feel for you and your ability to have time to create?!

There’s so many great workshops happening before and after mine. I have started taking a few of the classes because I got too excited! Check out the other classes I have taken, they were such good classes!

Workshop Week is around the corner (June 1st - June 5th) and I’m so excited for you to experience these lessons and to participate in many of them myself!
I just wanted to remind you to sign up, if you haven’t already done so, for this *FREE* week of classes on so many different topics.
You can go to 👉 beccacourtice.samcart.com/referral/rebelunicorncra… 👈 and enter your first name and email address. Then once you click to confirm with the email they send you, you’ll be ready and receiving all the updates about Workshop Week!
I also wanted to answer some common questions I saw last year:
-Is it really free? Yes! As long as you join in during the week. Each instructor’s class is available for free for 24 hours after it has premiered live. There are also 5 ‘kid’ workshops that are available all week- these are not JUST for kids, just more easily kid-friendly than some of the others.
-What are the details for my workshop? My workshop will be happening on Wednesday, June 3rd at 11AM Eastern. I’ll walk you through how to paint a super cute kangaroo and its joey. After the scheduled time, I will be live with Becca, so if you’re joining us live, come hang out afterwards!
-What if I can’t watch something at the time it is scheduled? If you want to get access to the scheduled classes beyond the 24 hours it is available, you can purchase the Vault. That gets you instant and lifelong access to all of the workshops in this year’s Workshop Week. The pricing does vary depending on when you buy, but the price is best if you take advantage any time prior to Workshop Week starting.
-Why isn’t the link working for me? The first thing I’d try is maybe changing your browser to see if that helps. And if the longform link above isn’t working, you could try getting to it from the link in my bio ( bio.site/rebelunicorncrafts) and clicking the first option.
-What supplies do I need? When you sign up you’ll get access to the supplies the instructors have recommended, but you can absolutely use what you have and not worry about using the exact same paint or brush that they might have listed.
Who else is excited about Workshop Week?! Do you want me to show you how to make the sketchbook so you can make a fun filled sketchbook during the week?

I would guess that if you’re here, creating is important to you and also may be a tool that you use to boost your mental health. When I need to decompress or a quick pick-me-up, I gravitate towards patterns in my own paintings. I’d love to know what you like to paint when you feel like you need a break!

It’s safe to say spring is here and this season makes me think of new beginnings. Whether it is new buds on trees, new flowers springing up from the ground, or moving into a new home, there’s no denying that new beginnings are all around us. I’d love to hear about any new creative projects you’re starting in this time of renewal! Let me know in the comments 👇

Happy April Fools! I love a good April Fool’s gag as long as everyone is in on the joke!
For the newer faces around here, our animal series has been going on for 3 years now. During the first year I had a lot of things going on in early Spring and my husband Nick asked if there was anything he could do to help me. I jokingly replied that he could make a video for me, and because of the perfect timing, an idea was born and a wig was purchased.
Nick got to work, he studied my videos, played with a plethora of animals, practiced, made his own script, and got a good grasp on my teaching mannerisms and quirks. Since I still helped with the filming and edited the video, I am not sure it saved me any work, but we had the best time doing it. So, it’s become a yearly tradition. We have had so much fun filming these the last two years, and this year was no different. I hope you all enjoy our running April Fool’s Day joke and that it gives you an extra smile while you paint yourself a fun little creature. If you do paint it and post it on socials, please tag me so I can show him!
Here’s the last two in case you want a trip down memory lane

I loved all the ideas of things you all want to see painted! I’ll definitely be doing what I can to incorporate many of your wishes over the next several weeks. We’re starting out strong with our Patreon live this weekend on Sunday, March 22nd at 10 am mountain time and painting FLORALS! 🌹🌷🪻🌻🌸
My Patreon community is such a lovely space with other creative people who are on this watercolor journey too and once a month we get together and paint live. During this time I can see what you are painting and help troubleshoot or answer questions in real time. If you can’t make it live, I’ll always post the replay and you have access to all the prior replays as well.
If you’re interested in checking it out and joining us, you can get more information about the Patreon here- www.patreon.com/rebelunicorncrafts .
And stay tuned, we’ll definitely be hitting some of your most highly requested topics soon! 🌄
PS If you thought you missed out on the Play workshop I mentioned last month, one spot opened back up! So if that was something you were hoping to grab a spot for, you can check that out on my website- www.rebelunicorncrafts.com/product-page/play-water…

We’re a little over halfway through our Second Chance Art Resolutions series! (tinyurl.com/SecondChanceArt if you’ve missed a few)
I hope you’ve started making your art wall and are enjoying seeing your progress!! I also understand that some of you may not be painting for the purpose of making a habit of it, but choose to paint more as a way to relieve stress. If so, don’t worry - I definitely have more low pressure exercises on the horizon.
But, I would love to know if there’s anything you’d like to see coming up too. Are you hoping for more animals? Wanting more easy patterns? Longing for more landscapes or florals? Let me know in the comments and I’ll keep them in mind during my painting experiments!

A question that comes up frequently is whether I do in-person classes. Before COVID, I was teaching classes quite frequently, but now it’s mostly through my videos, in my live paint-alongs through my Patreon, and occasionally there are some in-person opportunities here and there.
And *two* of those opportunities are coming up in April and May!
I have 2 one and a half day workshops happening in the next few months and there are a few spots left!
🎨On April 24th-25th, I will be running a Watercolor Bootcamp to help you paint watercolor even if you’ve never picked up a paint brush.
🖌️On May 21st-22nd I will be running my Play workshop, which is an expanded version of the one I ran last year and shared a little bit about on my channel.
They will both be held in Fort Collins, Colorado and at the time of this posting, there are 4 spots available for April’s Bootcamp and 1 spot left for May’s Play workshop.
If you’re possibly interested, I have a lot more information on each workshop’s listing, so please look those over if this is something you’d possibly like to attend: www.rebelunicorncrafts.com/in-person-classes
The workshops are small (15 participants) and I had so much fun with the group last year and I can’t wait to meet and paint with more of you this year!
