AM-RE9A7 is a Raspberry Shake amateur seismograph located in Tracy, CA which is about 50 Miles East of the San Francisco Bay Are in the Central Valley. Our second live stream is our SeisComP map which uses data from 800+ seismographs around the world and the software detects and maps earthquake events around the globe.
We LiveStream our seismograph displays in real time 24/7/365 with the exception of time needed for maintenance and updates to the computers. Automated alerts of possible event detection are tweeted on @RE9A7

Thanks to Comcast we have been experiencing an internet outage for "upgrades" in the area. Hopefully the work is done and we appear to be fully back online. Both the streams are up and running at 100% again as far as I can tell.
Thanks for you patience while we suffer through this service interruption.

Well, I have replaced the GPU, RAM, and CPU in the computer that was having issues and so far it looks like the CPU was the issue and the channels appear to be stable again. We will watch it for a few days to be sure but hopefully we are back and stable 24/7 again!

Hope you all have a safe and happy 4th of July and see you on the livestreams!

Well, I think I have resolved the crashing issues with the stream computer. I started by changing the RAM on the Tracy Seismograph computer and it still crashed. Tonight I changed the Nvidia graphics card and it is looking stable so far. The graphics card does a lot of the heavy number crunching several of the applications do using the GPU and gets worked quite hard by GlobalQuake Server and several other applications that are used on both streams.

For those of you that have supported the channel by donating, membership, or superchats, THANK YOU! Your donations help offset the cost of running the 4 computers it take to produce the streams. While the pre-roll ad's also help the really generate very little revenue as I do not allow mid roll ads that would interrupt the streams which would bring in more money. I do not make any money running these streams and really it is a constant loss when you add up the electricity and cost to maintain the hardware.
