🌒🌀 In tropical news, the national hurricane center has the socials buzzin today with not one but two code yellow's across the Atlantic basin. I'm not expecting either of these systems to develop into tropical cyclones, but the area of low pressure to form in the northeast gulf will bring enhanced rain chances for portions of the southeast.

Across the pacific, Elida was born during the wee hours of the morning and still quickly moving west this evening, but mid-level shear has been beating down on the system keeping it fairly tampered overall so far.

Lastly, as soon as Elida starts her demise, yet another tropical depression will likely form behind and be well on its way to becoming the second hurricane of the eastern north pacific season.
