Fun Videos About Building Projects in New Zealand
I have been a builder for 20 years and have made over 400 videos showing how we renovate houses, building in general and how we live down here in New Zealand. Thanks for checking out my channel!
We are always looking for fun building projects in New Zealand (and maybe elsewhere if the project is worth it :)

Oil or let the deck fade naturally? Scott Brown here, In our latest episode we closed in the side of our vitex deck. We started this deck a couple of years ago now, so the boards have had a chance to silver off naturally. The comments section of the video is divided, some say it looks great silvered off and others insist on satining/oiling. What do you think? episode here https://youtu.be/sjJ3gZrSDzE

Scott Brown here. I’ve been sick this week, nothing serious.
But it means no video. On a positive note, it gave us time to do other things we have been putting off.
We made some progress planning the next stage of our home renovation, the bathroom!
Stay tuned for next week’s exciting episode

New episode! We chat tool belts, build a Skate Ramp and pack the whole thing onto a truck to be moved over 100 km away. I’ve always wanted to help build a skatepark, now I’m finally doing it!😀
What is your dream building project?

We are posting fortnightly uploads for a few weeks because we are doing some pretty cool projects, including going off grid for a little while 😬
I wouldn’t get to do awesome projects like this without this channel and your support, so thank you!
We also just hit 100 million channel views! (hard to wrap my head around that one)
I usually don’t pay attention to metrics like this but my Mum keeps sending me screenshots 😂
Enjoy your weekend!

It was supposed to go up yesterday, but here we are! The latest episode of us building in Japan. This time, we’re tackling a plywood feature ceiling for what will become a guest house. As you'd expect with a 90-year-old house, straight lines were few and far between, so we had to get creative with some clever workarounds. Hope you enjoy it!

Hey! I’m currently editing our next Japan video, but I'm running a bit behind my usual Friday/Saturday posting time. Thanks so much for all the love on my Tokyo tool shopping video, it was as fun as it looked—stay tuned for the next episode!

おはよう! We’re in Japan! Jess and I are travelling around the country we have wanted to visit for so long. Eating great food, checking out some tool stores and even helping our friend renovate her traditional style Japanese home! No video this week, but I should have the first exciting episode edited for next week. See you then!

Scott Brown here. Guess what? Gaston started a YouTube channel!
Everyone’s favourite tool man is uploading videos where he shares valuable information about some of the tools he sells here in New Zealand.
He told me that they will not be fancy videos, he is just hitting record and chatting, and considering Gaston’s knowledge of tools I think that is plenty!
