✊🏽The Roma Resistance: A Blueprint for the Roma Nation
May 16, 1944, is not just a date in history—it is the birth of an eternal vow for the Roma Nation.
When the SS ordered the liquidation of the Zigeunerlager in Auschwitz-Birkenau, the Roma didn’t comply. Armed only with rocks, wooden planks, and smuggled tools, men, women, and children barricaded the barracks. They forced the Gadje (non-Roma) oppressors to back down.
While this fierce defiance delayed the tragedy, the harsh reality followed on August 2-3, 1944, when thousands were ultimately gassed. The uprising was tactically suppressed, but spiritually, it was a monumental victory.
The Lesson for the Modern Roma Nation:
The modern Romani movement draws a powerful directive from this bravery: Never again will we live or die under Gadjo commands.
• Autonomy over Charity: We must build independent political power and institutions. Our fate must be in our own hands.
• Power in Unity: The solidarity shown in those barracks is the blueprint. Fragmented, we are vulnerable; unified, we are a nation.
• We Are Warriors, Not Victims: The world tried to erase our resistance, but the spirit of Romanoilo lives on.
We honor the martyrs of Auschwitz not just by mourning, but by claiming our sovereignty, our dignity, and our future.

We see through their hypocrisy. We see the chains they have placed upon us—legal, economic, and social barriers designed to keep us in a perpetual state of dependence. But we also see the cracks in their foundation. Their system is built on a fragile illusion of unity, one that will crumble under the weight of its own contradictions.

Our path forward is clear: we will reclaim our destiny. No decree from Brussels, no bureaucratic maneuver, and no act of political coercion will silence the Roma Nation. The time for waiting is over. The time for action has begun.

The downfall of those who deny our rights is not a matter of if, but when. And when that day comes, the Roma will stand not as subjects of a broken system, but as a free and sovereign people.

Three Years of War – A Romani Plea for Peace

Three years have passed since the war between Ukraine and Russia began. Three years of suffering, destruction, and death. And among the fallen are our Romani sons—fighting and dying on both sides, sacrificing their lives for the wars of Gadje masters who have never cared for our people.

We, the Roma Nation Movement, have always stood for peace. We do not start wars, yet our people are forced to fight in them. Ukrainian and Russian Romani soldiers fall on battlefields, while their families grieve, their communities struggle, and their voices remain unheard.

We say: No more Romani blood for Gadje wars! No more Roma dying for a future that is not ours!

We call for an end to this war. We demand justice for all those suffering, especially our Roma brothers and sisters who are displaced, mistreated, and forgotten in this conflict. The world must hear us—Roma lives matter, and Roma demand peace!
