Todays snapshot is largely the same as yesterdays beta (I covered in a video) but amusingly has this line on the changelog.
It seems to still exist, so this seems to be removal of the hardcoded desert well, it is now bundled into a different category

GREAT NEWS for switch 2 players - all trailers have been showing vibrant visuals with a very low render distance, but the switch 2 version looks to be capable of 16 chunks with VV.
In other words, better render distance than switch 1 for either bedrock or LCE, while also having better graphics. Nice!

We are expecting one more set of features for the dappled forest and drop 3... but that will likely be tomorrow, as today is the predicted release date for 26.40.
