btw as someone who is self professedly excited about Minecraft Updates almost beyond all else, it takes a lot not to post a video about the sift every day. One of the most interesting parts is the sifts "tide cycle" which means it has not a normal day/night, but a tri-phase setup where sometimes the sift is more forgiving, and sometimes more punishing.
In Dungeons 2 this relates to souls, but I wonder if it would relate to health regen in the base game? Right now java PVE is substantially easier & bedrock substantially harder due to regeneration, so it'd be interesting if this were used as a balancing tool for a new dimension.
Of course, there are other mechanics which will likely be entirely different in the sift too!

Here are all of the sift mobs from Dungeons 2. Given the nether has 11 mobs and the end has 3, I think it's fair to assume we won't get all of them.
Which ones are vanilla mobs though, besides blub?
