రాష్ట్రాల పరిధిలో ఉండే విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలపై పెత్తనం చెలాయించాలని కేంద్రం చేస్తున్న ప్రయత్నాలను చూస్తు ఊరుకోబోమని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి గారు స్పష్టం చేశారు. ఈ విషయంలో తమిళనాడు, కర్ణాటక, కేరళ, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రులతో మాట్లాడాలని భావిస్తున్నట్టు చెప్పారు.
✳️ 32 ఏళ్ల తర్వాత డాక్టర్ బీఆర్ అంబేద్కర్ సార్వత్రిక విశ్వవిద్యాలయాన్ని సందర్శించిన మొదటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి గా క్యాంపస్ లో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన అంబేద్కర్ గారి విగ్రహాన్ని ఆవిష్కరించడంతో పాటు కొత్తగా నిర్మించనున్న మూడు భవనాలకు శంఖుస్థాపన చేశారు.
✳️ అనంతరం ఏర్పాటు చేసిన సభలో మాట్లాడుతూ, యూజీసీ ముసుగులో వర్సిటీలను తమ ఆధీనంలోకి తీసుకోవాలని కేంద్రం చేస్తున్న ప్రయత్నాలను వివరిస్తూ తీవ్ర నిరసనను వ్యక్తం చేశారు. రాష్ట్రాల వర్సిటీలపై ఆధిపత్యం చెలాయించాలని చూడటం సాంస్కృతిక దాడిగా అభివర్ణించారు. ఈ విషయంలో మేధావులందరూ ఆలోచనలు చేయాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
✳️ కేంద్రం, రాష్ట్రాల అధికారాల విషయంలో రాజ్యాంగంలో స్పష్టంగా ఉన్నప్పటికీ దాని స్ఫూర్తికి విరుద్ధంగా చేసే ప్రయత్నాలపై సమిష్టిగా కోట్లాడుతామని ప్రధానమంత్రి గారికి విజ్ఞప్తి చేస్తున్నాం. ఈ కుట్రను మాపై దాడిగానే భావిస్తాం. ఆ ప్రతిపాదనను తక్షణం ఉపసంహరించుకోవాలి. ఒక్కొక్కటిగా ఇలా చేస్తూపోతే చివరకు స్థానిక సంస్థలు, మున్సిపాలిటీలు, జిల్లా పరిషత్ లు కేవలం పన్నులు వసూలు చేసుకునే సంస్థలుగా మిగిలిపోతాయి.
✳️ కొన్నేళ్లుగా విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలు నిర్లక్ష్యానికి గురయ్యాయి. ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా బాధ్యత తీసుకున్న మరుక్షణం మంత్రివర్గాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోవడానికి ఎంత ప్రాధాన్యత ఇచ్చానో విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల వీసీల నియామకానికి కూడా అంతే ప్రాధాన్యత ఇచ్చాం.
✳️ వర్సిటీ వీసీల నియామకంలో సామాజిక న్యాయం అనే కోణానికి కూడా ప్రాధాన్యతనిచ్చాం. వంద సంవత్సరాలు పూర్తి చేసుకున్న ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీకి దాని చరిత్రలో ఏ రోజూ ఒక దళిత సామాజిక వర్గం నుంచి వచ్చిన వ్యక్తి వైస్ ఛాన్సలర్ గా నియమించబడలేదు. ఆ సామాజిక వర్గం నుంచి విద్యావేత్తను వీసీగా నియమించాం.
✳️ విశ్వవిద్యాలయాల పునర్నిర్మాణం జరగాలి. మన కళ్ళ ముందే వాటి ప్రతిష్ట దిగజారుతుంటే చూస్తూ ఊరుకుంటే మనం ఈ సమాజానికి అన్యాయం చేసిన వాళ్ళమవుతాం.
✳️ ఓపెన్ యూనివర్సిటీ విద్యార్థులకు ఫీజు రీయింబర్స్ మెంట్ విషయంలో ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి గారు వివరాలు తెప్పించుకుని సానుకూల నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంటారు.
✳️ అనుభవం కలిగిన అధ్యాపకుల సేవలను వినియోగించుకోవాలన్న ఆలోచన చేస్తున్నాం. వర్సిటీల్లో ప్రొఫెసర్ల పదవీ విరమణ వయస్సును 65 ఏళ్లకు పెంచాలన్న ఆలోచన ఉంది.
✳️ ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో మంత్రి పొన్నం ప్రభాకర్ గారు, ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి శాంతి కుమారి గారు, తెలంగాణ ఉన్నత విద్యా మండలి చైర్మన్ వి. బాలకిష్టారెడ్డి గారు, వర్సిటీ వీసీ ఘంటా చక్రపాణి గారితో పాటు ప్రొఫెసర్లు, మేధావులు, ఇతర ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
