Creator Academy education centres teach a range of courses designed to build STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), multimedia and communication skills for children of all ages and skill levels.
The stage is set for the @vexrobotics VEX IQ World Championships here in St.Louis, Missouri USA!
As the best robotics teams gather from across the globe, one team stands out: 5876A Abbotsleigh Junior.
Representing the only all-girl Australian team in the tournament, their presence is all the more remarkable because this is their first ever VEX Robotics competition.
Qualifying for 'Worlds' represents countless hours learning new skills, training with unfamiliar equipment and building resilience through competition.
We are so proud of our girls, to us they are already winners.
After three days of intense competition, 63331A Ryde Secondary College delivered a strong performance, finishing with 6 wins and 4 losses and securing a place in the 14th alliance.
The public school team impressed the highly ranked 1677X from Zhejiang, forming an alliance with the Chinese team before concluding their run in the Round of 16.
Capping off an outstanding campaign, the team was awarded the Inspire Award—one of the most prestigious judged honours in VEX Robotics Competition. This award recognises teams that embody the spirit of VEX through passion, positivity, and exceptional teamwork, celebrating those who demonstrate outstanding character, professionalism, and community impact.
Creator Academy is proud to have coached Ryde Secondary College this season and looks forward to an exciting and promising future for the team.
See you all at VEX Worlds in St. Louis! This year I am accompanying 4 teams across High School, Moddle School and Elementary School divisions to celebrate the end of another great season! Good luck to all the talented students of 21111A, 21111B, 63331A and 5876A, I am proud to have been part of your Worlds journey! If you find me in my floppy hat, be sure to say 'G'Day!' @RECFoundation@vexrobotics@VEXRoboticsAustralia
Have you done our CodingDrills.au Python Programming challenge today? Today's special coding question:
Your friend approaches you after you purchased a lot of KitKats from them. They have another deal for you: Each KitKat is now $0.55, and every 6 KitKats you buy they will give you an additional $1 discount. Write a program to calculate the cost of the KitKats rounded up to the nearest dollar.
Input Format Single integer describing the number of KitKats bought.
Output Format Single integer of the cost of the chocolates rounded up to the nearest dollar.
Build Python literacy by coding every day! www.codingdrills.au
We are incredibly excited to officially launch CodingDrills.au, a brand-new web app designed to help students build coding skills through fun, structured daily practice.
Developed as part of the Creator Academy CodePlay™ System, CodingDrills.au represents a powerful step forward in making coding more accessible, engaging, and effective for students of all levels.
CodingDrills.au is a daily coding platform built specifically for students learning Python. It focuses on one simple idea:
Small, consistent practice builds real coding ability.
Each day, students are presented with carefully designed coding activities that help them develop problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and programming confidence.
At Creator Academy, we believe that learning to code is not just about syntax—it’s about confidence, persistence, and thinking like a problem solver.
CodingDrills.au reflects this philosophy by guiding students through a structured experience:
🔹 Warm-up questions to ease students into the lesson
🔹 Challenge problems that build deeper thinking
🔹 Hints and learning tips to support understanding
🔹 Leaderboards to build confidence and encourage daily practice.
This approach ensures that every student—regardless of experience—can make progress and feel successful.
We are absolutely thrilled to bring CodingDrills.au to students, schools, and families across Australia and beyond.
