Last week, I asked you to find me in LA for the Western Edge Open and WOW, do I feel special 🥰
Students, teachers and mentors found me to say hi, and after the 10th or 20th person I started taking selfies with you too!
What caught me by surprise was to see how many projects mentioned me as a resource for their robot work. I am incredibly humbled to be part of your team!
A massive shout out to our alliance team members FLL Sporklings from North Carolina and Salem Renegade Robotics from Michigan for a herculean effort achieving 4th place out of 28 alliances with 130 points in the alliance On The Spot challenge!
Congratulations to FLL Sporklings for going on to win Champions Finalist, a clearly well deserved award!
As I watch the red sunset over Santa Monica beach, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be a mini-celebrity in this robotics community.

A Special Moment in Dallas

After weeks of virtual coaching and cheering from Australia, I finally met the incredible instructor Siimoa M.I. Galoia
USA, MAJ (Ret) and her students of Tafuna High School in person here at the VEX World Championships in Dallas—and what an emotional moment it was.

Since 2024, Creator Academy has proudly supported Tafuna High’s robotics journey in American Samoa, offering coaching assistance, coding lessons, and feedback. To see their team, 21111A Toa Robotics, standing proudly on the world stage after winning the Tournament Champion and Excellence Award at the 8th Brigade JROTC Competition—it’s truly a testament to their determination, growth, and spirit.

Robotics is about more than just trophies. It’s about mentorship, connection, and creating opportunities that stretch far beyond the classroom. Being able to finally share a handshake, a laugh, and a shared love for engineering reminded me why we do what we do.

Congratulations again to Instructor Siimoa M.I Galoia and Tafuna High—your journey inspires us all.
