New music from me out today! 'Make It Work’ Is my mantra… The lyrics serve as a reminder to make things happen for myself without waiting on others to fix things. Finding meaning in my music is a really important part of my songwriting process, and I always try to write lyrics that are thought-provoking, but ‘Make It Work’ is more about a manifestation through the lyrics and what the sonics allow people to feel whilst listening. Hopefully gives you a little snippet of what’s to come on my own label Spin Suga.
Wheeeey! Only For Tonight is ouuuut! Already getting loads of love so thank you!
When I worked on this with @tctsofficial I very much wanted something that reminded me of the music from my roots, I was listening to a lot of music from the Middle East last summer so this takes a whole lot of inspiration from what I’ve grown up listening to. Dancing is a huge part of Middle Eastern culture, all genders get involved and belly dancing is something my mother taught me young and I’d do with my Teta and sisters and Rachel Noble worked that in perfectly into the video along with her incredible visuals!
