I need everyone's help with something... The Canadian government has decided to end it's weather radio service from Environment Canada, effective March 16, 2026. This is a grave mistake, with the increase in weather such as hurricanes and wild fires where the grid goes down and cellular and Internet fail, weather radio continues to function during those times. You can help by contacting your local member of parliament and voice your concern of the discontinuation of this essential service from Environment Canada.

DIY front end alignment... 2 broom handles some zip ties and two tape measures. I put a new tie rod end on the Flex a couple weeks ago and I definitely didn't get the toe back right so it was wearing the tire quite horribly. So I had to get creative 😉 I'm going to get some aluminum angle for doing this in the future 😁

Who says you can't ham radio while snowboarding... No one ever lol. This is my QRP operation with my radio in a man pack at the top of the ski hill... I made a contact to California from Nova Scotia on 20m. The dipole is hung from a snowboard repair table where the advertisement sign used to be. I literally just jammed the carabeners at the ends of the antenna elements into the packed snow and I was on the air.

Who would have thought that I would be talking on a radio to 6000km away with only 1.8 watts and a wire tossed into the tree in the yard 😎 Ham radio is a great addition to all of the other things I do for sure. 73 all #hamradio
