Here's an updated version on that Black Adam Post Credits Scene in higher quality. Rescored with Hans Zimmer Music.

Black Adam had one heck of an awesome After Credits scene. For those who have seen the movie, you know what it is. But it would have been even better if it had some "different" music.

Here's my take on how I would have preferred it sounded like:

So I've been a member of YouTube since 2007. I've literally watched the site change and evolve over the years. I remember the days when you could give 5 or 1 stars to a video. I remember the days when we YouTubers celebrated "honors" for our videos - like being the #60 "Most discussed video" of the day (a stat which LEGO STAR WARS: WHAT IF" once had).

The site is much different now than it was back then and it will apparently be even more different now with the supposed hiding of the dislike button.

This is just my opinion on the matter:
Like any creator who hopes to make content universally appealing, I don't enjoy when my videos get downvoted, but if someone doesn't like a video I make, I welcome their opinion to be expressed. No. I want it to be expressed. I want it being publicly displayed. I don't want it to be hidden. While it's true that stats will still be visible to me as a creator, it won't be visible to everyone else. I personally think that's a mistake.

People should be free to express their opinions and others should be able to see what's liked and what's not.

Regardless, I'm sure I'll roll on just fine with the change like I have every other change that's been done to this site. But I do have to say that this one is a pretty big one that I don't agree with.

Non-spoiler thoughts on ZSJL:

It’s been a long time coming, but Zack Snyder’s Justice League is finally here. Nearly a full four years after the debut of the theatrical cut on November 17, 2017.
I remember watching that particular version in theaters Thursday evening and saying to a friend across from me that “I want to make movies like that.” But while I said those words, they quickly tasted bitter the moment they left me and I remember being in denial that the movie just didn’t hit me in the same way Man of Steel and Batman v Superman did.

That’s why I ended up making fan edits to cope with my feelings of extreme disappointment when it finally set in that I just didn’t like the film that I so eagerly anticipated.

Now a little backstory, but I’ve always been a DC Comics fan - in particular, a Superman fan. I used to be a pretty lousy reader as a child and it was comic books that helped teach me how to read. So even while the Marvel movies were coming out and crushing it at the box office, I still preferred DC.
I loved Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. If you can tell from my video library here alone, those two movies had and continue to have a big impact on me and so of course, I was inclined to want to see Snyder’s vision when it first came to everyone’s attention that the theatrical cut was about as far away from it as you could get.

Now that it’s here, I can safely say that I absolutely loved it.
It was just about everything I hoped it would be and more. The four hour runtime, while bloated, flew by faster than a speeding bullet and I never felt a sense of boredom. I even watched it twice on the same day just because I loved the feeling it provided me seeing my favorite superheroes on screen fighting and interacting with one another.

Everyone was done justice (pun intended). Starting with the trinity, Ben Affleck’s Batman got a lot more to do here and wasn’t just a pushover who got beat up all the time. Superman, though he doesn’t appear as much as I would have hoped, had way better fight scenes and much more emotional resonance that, if I do say so myself, reminded me of how I wanted him to appear when I tried re-editing the movie for my fan cut. Especially in terms of hearing that beautiful Man of Steel score.
Wonder Woman was much better utilized in this cut as well. She had plenty more to do and interacted well with the other League members. I particularly liked a scene where she and Alfred had some bonding time.

But the new members of the JL got to shine the most.
Aquaman’s appearance was clearly setting up how he’d be portrayed in the James Wan movie and he was a man torn between two worlds, wanting very little to do with his Atlantean heritage until the end where he willingly takes up the call to protect the surface as his mother would have been.
Flash was well-utilized as a hero-in-training. He was inexperienced, but showcased extreme potential to be one of the most powerful and vital members of JL, particularly at the end of the movie.
But as Zack Snyder had advertised many times, the heart of the movie was Cyborg. This really was his origin story and he was utilized brilliantly in the film. From his personal struggles with his father to his alienation with learning his new superpowers and just his inner humanity eventually shining through just goes to show how much stuff was needlessly exorcised from the movie.

Steppenwolf worked way better as a villain now. He was intimidating and powerful, but also very sympathetic as his end-goal ultimately boiled down to his desire to be allowed to just go back home to Apokolips.

The story was so much better paced. With four hours, scenes and situations with the characters were allowed a lot of time to breathe. Though there were a handful of sequences that could have been cut down, it was nice to be allowed to just soak in the atmosphere of this world and spend time getting to know these characters.

It should go without saying, but the music was phenomenal. Hitting upon just about everything I wanted to achieve in my cut of the movie by restoring the themes and feeling of the score from the previous films, now this movie feels like a true sequel to MOS and BvS.

The movie was filmed and presented in a 4x3 aspect ratio and I didn’t mind it one bit. In fact, it really benefitted a lot of scenes where the framing was taken full advantage of and that really gave the movie a very epic aesthetic.

In conclusion, ZSJL was a worthy addition to the DCEU and right on par with Snyder’s other films. It would be an understatement to say that I loved it.

It's coming. Tomorrow. And I'll be there at the finish line with everyone else.

In November 2017, I saw the theatrical cut of Justice League. When I exited the theaters, I was disappointed - I missed the original score from MoS and BvS and wanted to see Snyder's true vision. I hoped I'd get it and signed the petition the day it showed up to release the Snyder Cut. In the meantime, I proceeded to do small fan edits as a hobby to restore the Junkie XL/Hans Zimmer scores and release them on YouTube and Vimeo in an effort to give myself and others some modicum hint of what could have been.

When the movie came to blu-ray and Digital HD the following few months in early Spring 2018, I continued to make more fan edits, eventually building towards doing my own fan cut of the film as the edits continued to gain notoriety. I was asked by several other editors if they could include my videos in their edits and I approved most of them, just content to see fellow fan editors share in the enthusiasm of making alternate cuts of the movie.

My endeavors slowed from 2019 onwards, but I continued working on the fan edit on the fly. In the meantime, I watched as the groundswell to release of the real deal grow alongside other DC fans who wanted to see Zack Snyder's true vision. When everything came to a head on November 2019 (the theatrical release's 2nd year anniversary), I was there excitedly watching and participating in the madness that would eventually lead to the finale of everything I hoped for.

In May 2020 when it finally happened, I was overjoyed beyond measure. Though it was slightly bittersweet because it meant that there was absolutely no reason to continue on with my fan edit because it would be limited to mostly theatrical cut footage with some FX tweaks, trailer footage and a few hundred FX reels I picked up over the years with extended clips. From then on, all work on the "A.B.Director Cut" ceased and I moved on to other endeavors.

Still, I am grateful that my fan edit clips played even a small part in getting people excited for what-could-have-been-that-will-be-what-IS-tomorrow as well as promoting my channel to 89K subscribers (That's still insane for me to think about, especially when I was once content with even 100 way back in 2008). It's the end of a journey, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks to all who supported me and supported the cause to #ReleasetheSnyderCut.
And special thanks to Zack Snyder, who continues to inspire me as a filmmaker as I work on carving out a career for myself in the future. Can't wait for tomorrow.

I'll be tuning into that VERO Stream of Man of Steel Wednesday to find out whether or not all this Snyder cut talk is leading to somewhere. Very excited.
