I’ve made a lot of predictions in my life, and only a few people close to me can back that up. So here’s one I’m putting out publicly now.

I believe we’re heading toward a future where people will be able to monetize comments on social media. Not just posts or videos, comments.

Think about it, on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, people go straight to the comment section. Sometimes the comments are funnier, smarter, and more viral than the actual post. They drive engagement, start debates, and keep people scrolling.

So I’m calling it now, one day, advertising and monetization will reach the comments too. And honestly, I wish I could get compensated for putting this idea out there first.
