Thanks to Jon Scott's suggestion (pic #2) cream cloaks can be spied on the painting desk!
Please forgive us for a little increase in background noise in a few of the upcoming tutorials - painting without fan, aircon, or window open for noise has simply not always been possible in recent weather - so I have had to crack a window during some recording sessions.
I have seen several creators and painters making posts about the weather, the camera and mic really don't help! 🥵
As ever we'll welcome your feedback - a little more of Manchester's movements may feature than normal, please let us know if it lessened the experience in the comments.
Have a great weekend - Byron

See you in 3hours for the most classic of subjects!
Note: To anyone anywhere in the world trying to paint right now... We are sorry!
The heat has delayed our little Grot, but he's nearly done, keep your eyes peeled for him soon.
Yet again shout out to the big brushes in this heat - they're keeping us sane! Size 4+ for Series S
Remember that normal acrylic metallics often have very good behaviour in the heat in comparison to normal paints.

How would do you want our Grot? (Yes we are enjoying adding jewellery still 😅).
Currently he is in the process of careful use of custom shade mixes on solid bright colours, and I think he could look very at a good speed without final highlights.
What would be the most useful?

I posted a little video on Instagram about brush sizes & painting in this heat 🥵.

Make sure you're following us there. It's a good place for these long-short(/s) videos?
Also learned how to calculate the volume of a cone!
Whether you're using speculative maths or not... Big brushes help a *lot* in this heat! They also help you paint red things faster :)

Ork Flesh 3 ways will be tomorrow! I hope you've all enjoyed your armageddon weekend :).

While you're building and prepping why not pick up a Size 3 or 4? They work wonders in hot weather, and everywhere in the world seems to be hot this week!
We're specifically tackling *how* to highlight ork skin in tomorrow's tutorial. They can be particularly tricky.
See you there!
Please note it's going to be at 7pm GMT - which is an hour earlier than our normal 8 o'clock.

Viewers, assemble! What do you think of the new Pre-Painted Terrain?
1) 'Why?'
Terrain is fast and easy, why speed it up?
2) 'Pointless'
I have too much UNpainted terrain, I don't need to add more terrain that is painted 'O.K-ish' level
3) 'Good'
More time for painting Spezz Marines!
I know where I sit... You'll see all of the terrain I painted in 24hours at UKGE if you're there!
Artis Opus is at the Element Games stand, come and say hello.

See you all in 5 minutes! We'll happily take your suggestions for the next Space Marine chapter in the video's comments... I'm guessing red or blue, but am always happy to be surprised!

Editor Ian's fallen on some very busy times, we are on it, though! What'd you like to see on the subject of painting Greenskin(s) generally?
GW's Armageddon paint-jobs really were amazing, but they're sure intimidating!
How can we help?

P.S. Yes- one of those started from purple-peach 😅

Catch you in 90 minutes for the often missed 'final' step of pigment use.... How to apply and use pigments on the feet of your model as a way to 'ground them' with the world you have set them in.
This is legitimately one of my favourite parts of painting, it always works wonders!
Honestly it might even be more fun and rewarding than tufts. Big claims, I know!
See you soon - Byron 🖌️
