Dear Journal,

Why does art have to take soooo long ugh. I worked on 3 songs this past couple of days and it took forever to finish. I'm at 77 subs! Welcome new peeps. I legit feel like 90% of you guys are bots. That's fine though. You just hang on I got ideas and content stuff coming up :P. Now time for rest and sleep.

Dear Journal,

I've been so lazy and unmotivated to make content stuff. I've been stuck playing Lego City Under Cover. I got that little catchy investigator scanner music stuck in my head I got to upload a cover of it soon. Also, too busy watching One Piece. I'm over 100 episodes in. I think around 130? We're still in Alabasta. I think I'm almost done with the series right lol. Just uploaded a One Piece cover of the only part of the song I know. I don't know why but the One Piece music isn't clicking with me. I guess the soundtrack is just not my kind of jam.

Cyril Duhem of Duhemsounds is a video game cover song musician. He is a very talented artist which I highly recommend you checking out. He does a lot of Final Fantasy and Zelda covers as well as many other games. I found out today that he has passed away a year ago. I find it surreal that he is gone. I thought he was just taking a break or something. I didn't know him personally, but this guy was one of the most kind and encouraging people you could meet. You'll even see it if you read all comments on his last videos. One of a kind. Rest easy friend.

No new stuff today :(. Just uploading a few old cover songs I made on the old channel. I got a few more to upload tomorrow. Once that's done, I'm going to circle back to doing anime and video game covers. Oh, and more art :).

Dear Journal,

I spent a week trying several websites and web building software. OMG it is 2025!!! Why can things just not work? It's either I use website templates and look like a corporate cookie cutter website or learn to code which I absolutely loathe. The only web building software I finally like doesn't play well with any of the sites I want to upload it to :(. Much frustrating. I really loved making the website but there's too many headaches involved. Thinking I should just scrap that idea and wait another 10 years. Hopefully someone will come along with an easy/affordable "click and drag" solution. We'll see. Time for rest.

Dear Journal,

It's been a while. I've had some time to think, and I feel like the thing I miss most about the "old" internet was the originality/personality and customization. Everything now seems so corporate and cookie cutter. Everyone is playing the same game for attention. I also miss the small and close groups in a community. I been working on building a website. I plan for it to be filled with music, art and other cool stuff. I'm still designing the layout and figuring out coding stuff. I guess in the meantime I'll be uploading a few old covers from the last channel. I'm probably never going to get around to recording a video performance so might as well reupload it. I should get some rest.

Dear Journal,

I got 12 hours of sleep today. Now my sleep schedule is so messed up O_O. Can't sleep. I think I need a break from music making. Gonna switch to art for a bit. I really need to declutter the room and I think the art project might be a good idea. I got a bunch of washi tape and paper that needs to go soon. I'm going to randomly lay washi on paper and give myself an hour to do a random doodle every day. I think I'll go game now.

Dear Journal,

I guess the short video upload strategy works. Getting more views comments than usual. A few negative comments received but it is expected. I'll never understand what is wrong with people who go out of their way to tell you how much they don't like your stuff. Am I supposed to stop for you because I'm not. What else? I've learned that the video game and anime cover song niche isn't as popular as I thought it is. A lot of views from the cover songs of "real bands" are doing good. Not stopping the VG and anime cover though. I will circle back and make shorts for those as well. Time for rest.

Dear Journal,

It's been a while since I posted on here. Just when you think you got it and figured out the YouTube game the algorithm slaps you in the face and says no. I was on a streak with shorts from KoRn, Linkin Park and Deftones doing pretty well. Uploaded 3 Doors Down Kryptonite and crickets. Re-uploaded it with a few fixes and it bombed badly. 10% stayed to watch and 90% swiped away. Just keep going I guess :/.

Dear Journal,

It's been a while since I posted something here. I no longer know wtf I am trying to do on this social media game. I'm much tired of the odds being stacked against me and trying to "make it". I know what it takes to be one of the big shots and channels on YouTube but I refuse to do what everyone else is. I guess I am not cut out for these social media platforms in this day and age. I'm not stopping though. Nothing is changing. Going to finish up some cover songs I promised and after that I'm just doing demo song arrangements. Going to see where it goes from there. Screw social, algorithms, tags, thumbnails, lighting, video production, AI, filters, big YouTubers squashing a gatekeeping all the little people, influencers, etc. Phew. Ok rant over :). Now rest.
