I make videos on studio life. I'm trained as a designer. I make work that's both design and contemporary art, then I talk about those things.

New T-shirt/conceptual object drop. In the latest episode, "The Fine Line Between Genius and Stupidity | Corey Feldman and Art," I talk about how maybe the key to artistic practice with the rise of A.I. is to "Be Dumber." Now you can rock that on a custom T-shirt. THIS IS NOT SOME T-SPRING INK-JET GARB%$#. This is a custom 100% cotton premium T - with opaque white and opaque fluorescent pink printed on both sleeves, the back neck, and the front. It's part of the "Elliott Couture" line, with a whipped, embroidered label on the right sleeve. The back neck is printed with "Studio Practice Episode: The Fine Line Between Genius and Stupidity | Corey Feldman and Art. THE SHIRTS ARE LIMITED EDITION WITH ⚠️ THE UNIQUE NUMBER IN THE EDITION IS ON THE FRONT OF EACH SHIRT. 👀 edition of 100. You can get the shirt either by going to the shop that appears IN YOUTUBE next to the latest episode. or you can go right here: aen573-v8.myshopify.com/products/fine-line-between…

Last Friday night, we shot the first "Run & Gun Live," - A one-hour chat/variety/talent show - Christopher and Kathleen Sleboda from Draw Down Books were the special guests for the interview segment. We had a few musical guests, including "ITMC SSR" (Ian Mcdonald) and "Pariuh and The Assorted Charms" as the house band. We also had a number of talent segments - AND MY STANDUP routine. I'm lucky to have Hannah Roll take on the monster task of editing the 5 (?) camera shoot. So while I had hoped to have the show posted early, the edit and the show were just too big of a task. It's coming... soon...

This week's episode is dropping late. Why? Because I’m setting up for the first (and possibly only) Run & Gun Live show, shooting at 7PM this Friday night in the studio. Chill—I know most live streams are boring as hell, but this one’s 'prerecorded in front of a live audience,' so I can edit out the awkward silences and spare you the bull$hït. (Unless it’s all awkward silences, then... yeah.) Doors open at 6:45, curtain at 7. Episode should land next Monday, but I’m running the Detroit Marathon on Sunday, so it might be late Monday. Stay tuned. - ⚠️ IF YOU'RE IN DETROIT ON FRIDAY AND WANT A SEAT - HIT THE COMMENTS BELOW - SEATING IS MAD LIMITED.

This is an experiment with posting (to the community tab) process videos. This video IS NOT AN EPISODE - It shows how I develop YouTube ideas. The video is much more direct in its approach. I'm not trying to fully develop an idea here... I'm just providing a look at how I work. If this kind of thing is useless... let me know below. (As an example I made the video "unlisted" so it shouldn't show up in the feed - just in the community tab. If I'm understanding this correctly).

Hey ☝️... If you watched Yesterday's Episode "How to *ACTUALLY Get Better at Graphic Design." I got a question for you. Obviously I believe that the *thinking behind an artists work is THE determinative factor in wether the work is interesting. With that in mind... (recently) I've been trying to structure my episodes to address VERY specific developmental issues for the designer/artist ( In other words, "how to get better.." etc...). Having said that, in this episode I through a 20 second segment on the end of the video entitled "Not a Vlog | 001." I did (am doing) this because to my mind "life" and "art/design" are the same thing. Just like "How you think" is more determinative of a works quality, "how you live" is similarly determinative. I'll keep an eye on the Engagement tab of Youtube studio to learn if there is a drop off in viewers once the subject becomes more open. But I'm genuinely interested in feedback on if you feel the LESS "instructional" content - THAT overlaps with the concept - has value or not. (Sound off in the comments if you want - I will read it).

As part of my regular studio practice I do monthly print drops. Many of these prints are "timed" editions. In other words the prints are available for a limited time (usually 24 hours) then they are gone forever. I have a number of bodies of work with these prints. One is a series of portraits. This month's print drop is a portrait of Kanye West.

(This print also overlaps conceptually with the final two minutes of my recent video "Your Posters Suck Because You're Lazy. I believe that this print represents the "exception" that I outlined at the end of the video, in that it is a drawing done directly, immediately and with a fluidity).

"Portrait of Kanye West" This is a hand-pulled 3 spot color screen print on 100% cotton archival paper. It's 19.5 x 25.5". It's signed and numbered and ships INSURED and signature of recipient required. It's $100 dollars + shipping.

You can cop this print at the link below (or go to minislimited.com or hit the comments for a link - try the link below first) UNTIL SATURDAY JULY 20 at 12PM EST - then the print is gone.

I'm considering the idea of offering memberships to the Studio Practice channel. (In ADDITION to what I'm already doing). Needless to say it would maybe be a tiered kinda thing with "benefits" at the different levels (from like $1.99 to like $99 a month). I'm not sure if there is enough interest in this kind of thing. Also, I'm wondering if it makes more sense to run memberships through a Discord server.
