Happy Caturday evening, furriends! 😸 Tonight’s livestream was a lot of fun, and the cats had an absolute blast testing out the new electric rolling toys… especially Bear, who apparently decided they belonged to him personally. 😂 He kept carrying the toys off into mysterious locations, and cat mom is still searching for one of them somewhere in the house.

Next Saturday at 2 PM Pacific, we’ll be Live again with a really wild new 5-in-1 cat toy featuring lasers, spinning strings, rolling balls with bells, and basically every possible form of feline chaos built into one machine. It has EVERYTHING. The real question is: will our crew take polite turns and share responsibly… or will this become complete goblin behavior within five minutes? We’ll find out!😸

Happy Furriday furriends! 😸💕
Join us for our next Livestream Saturday May 16th at 1 PM Pacific.
Come hang out with us for rescue cat chaos, cuddles, zoomies, treats, toys, and whoever decides to steal the show that day 😂 Tomorrow the Wujikitties are getting ready to review a brand new toy and enjoy some treats too! We’ll also be checking in on some of the cats who usually hide out during livestreams to see what surprises they have planned for us this time. Around here, we truly never know what’s going to happen 🐾

Last livestream, Jonesy completely surprised us with his amazing jumping and hunting skills while chasing the new bird toy. He had SO much fun! Herbie and Yoshi also went wild for the teaser toys, and tomorrow we’re adding catnip and bubbles into the mix… it’ll be an exciting time! 😸

This has been a really tough week for me . Something happened on Mother’s Day that really hit me emotionally, so it’s been a difficult few days over here.

On Sunday afternoon, a very sick and badly injured stray cat showed up in our yard. He was extremely thin, weak, losing much of his fur (the rest was matted) and clearly not doing well. He had an infected abscess on his front left shoulder.

I spent a long time by our truck, just watching him eat underneath. He kept an eye on me too. It was super hot that day since we were having a little heatwave. Somehow, I knew he was not feral. He knew human touch, but not for a very long time. I could tell by how he looked at me. I was able to sit with him for a while, earn his trust enough to pet him gently, talk softly to him, and get some food into him. I had my husband bring out a carrier. If I had gotten back up, he would have run. The moment seemed right, so I gently got a good grasp on his scruff, but the moment I tried to lift him, he got very scared and completely flipped out, sending all of his claws and legs madly flailing everywhere, and he slipped away. That was my one and only chance. I was devastated.

We haven’t seen him again since.

I’ve replayed the situation in my head over and over, wondering if I could have done something differently. The moment to get him was brief, and I should have had my husband bring a towel too, but everything happened so quickly. This is one of the hardest parts of rescue. Sometimes you try hard to do your best in the moment, but it’s just not enough to change the outcome.

But I also keep thinking about the fact that, for at least a little while, he was safe. He had a full belly, gentle pets, kind words, and someone trying very hard to help him. Maybe that moment of love and kindness mattered to him. I hope it did.

We do have a drop trap on the way in case he comes back, and we’re still hoping he does. I can’t set a regular trap as there are too many other neighborhood cats around. A drop trap would do the trick if he came back to eat again. I’m not giving up on him yet. I just hope he is still alive somewhere. If I could get him, we could neuter him, and hopefully help him recover.

I thought hard about sharing this, since there is no happy ending, and may never be. It has been hurting my heart so much since he appeared and then disappeared. I just think it’s important to share that rescue isn’t only the happy endings and funny moments. Sometimes it’s emotional and heartbreaking too. Sometimes it means loving an animal deeply for a brief moment and hoping you were able to give them a little comfort when they needed it most. ❤️

Hi Furriends, cat mom Wendy here with a Birthday Live update 😿✨
I caught a bug and I’m feeling pretty rough today, so we’re going to postpone tonight’s birthday Live by a day so we can properly celebrate with all the toys, lasers, and catnip chaos, when I’m feeling a bit better.💫 I would like to schedule for Saturday, and earlier in the day so that our international furriends can celebrate with us too! This Friday’s Live has been moved to Saturday at 1PM. It’s a birthday edition because it’s Meowmy’s birthday 😹💜 and the cats are celebrating the only way they know how… with new toys, special treats, suspicious levels of excitement, and probably at least one cat trying to steal everything early.

Happy Caturday, furriends! 😻

We had so much fun on yesterday’s Live sharing some playtime with the crew! Squiggy gave Fanta some love, after jumping on and off Cat mom’s shoulder.🤣We tested out a brand new toy… and let’s just say it had a slight design flaw at first 😂 But after a quick cat mom “engineering upgrade” (some snips here and there ✂️), it turned into a full-on hit! The cats were all in—and the treats definitely got their approval too❣️😻

We’re excited to see how they react to next week’s new toy! Will it flop or become a surprise break out hit?We’ll find out together next Furriday!
