This week's filming took me to Linn of Dee near Braemar in the Cairngorms National Park.
Before reaching the Linn of Dee itself, I spent some time following a quiet path through the woodland beside the River Dee. The river stays alongside you as the path winds through the trees, sometimes close, sometimes a little further away, but always there.
Tonight's film is a little different: a slow autumn walk along that path, with nothing but the sound of footsteps, woodland and the River Dee.

Sunday’s film was filmed on what was one of the last hot, sunny days of summer here in the Cairngorms National Park
The woods were warm and breezy, with sunlight moving through the trees, but everywhere there were little signs that autumn was on its way. Mushrooms appearing, leaves beginning to change and that unmistakable feeling of a new season just around the corner.
It was one of those days when I simply wandered into the woods to see what I might notice. 🌿🍄
If you can’t get outside today, come and spend a few quiet minutes in the woods together

A little update... 🌿
There won't be a new film this Sunday, August 2nd.
It's been a busy week here in the Cairngorms, and with everything happening across the National Park recently, I've decided to take a short pause rather than rush a film.
I'll be back next Sunday with a new film as usual.
In the meantime, if you're looking for a quiet moment in nature, you might enjoy Summer in Abernethy Forest, The Green Loch, or Uath Lochans from Above.
