Welcome to a space of integrity and healing. Healing happens in community. Healing happens when we witness each others’ pain. Bienvenidos a este espacio de integridad y para sanar. La sanacion ocurre en comunidad. Sanacion ocurre cuando somos testigos del dolor del prójimo. Aquí estoy para servir. I am here to serve.
The elders told us that the fire is the primary teacher… this medicine brings us healing, compassion and deep self understanding. Wisest of elders, abuelo Tatewari the fire… May we always find his light and warmth on this planet. May we be wise enough to care for the sacred and honor it as such. #Medicinewoman#moonwoman
Back at the sanctuary in NoCal after holding and creating sacred space in SoCal. We explored the topics of forgiveness, grounding and honoring ancestral traditions and ancestral roots.
We also talked about how our communities need safe spaces to be able to heal. We can’t heal when our communities are suffering. Yet it starts with us so we can help others.
I just returned from a deeper dive into Shamanism where I received beautiful initiations at sacred sites in Mexico. I am deeply grateful for the lessons this soul of mine has taken on in this lifetime. Honoring myself in many ways that I had not fully been able to do due to early childhood abuse and traumas that were imprinted deep in my psyche. This is it! My studies in psychology gave me a level of understanding but the ability to heal subconscious trauma was still surface level--I had known that there was something deeper and so much has been revealed to me. I knew my life would be one of service since I was a young child and the path of knowing myself has given so many jewels. "Gifts are meant to be shared."
After my trip, I got to visit El Tepeyac in Mexico which is now a major tourist attraction but I couldn't help to get emotional visiting the place with the history of our story as Indigenous-Mexican people who were forced under the thumb of Spanish colonizers.
I had to take a break from social media while I focused on regrouping after experiencing terrible losses and overwhelming grief. Social media was bringing more anxiety and depression into my mind, body and life and I had to close off some stimulation in order to focus inwardly on my inner experience. I took the time I needed.
Regardless, I can't get away from my mission in life to serve others and to be the bridge that opens the path to healing and practicing Indigenous wisdom practices for others. The wisdom from ancient and ancestral healing practices is infinite and we can truly transform our lives when we begin to engage and commit to our practice.
Unlocking the pain of grief and the trauma that was activated through severe losses--the trauma that was hidden in my body and deep in my psyche--It had to come to the surface--it does--inevitably. What we do when pain is overwhelming in our being--can bring us to healing or to self-destruction.
I choose healing. Healing isn't easy though and often uncomfortable. Navigating the unknown in us can be extremely frightening but necessary for us to be able to move forward. Without facing our fears, we remain stuck, overwhelmed and in a state of fear, depression, disappointment, betrayal, humiliation.
I have come to feel and see, after many years of practice and training, the very basic foundational tool for our wellness is the breath. It's obvious now. I have been guiding people through awareness of their breath for years already, but my lessons are now more profound in understanding. Perhaps it was the deep pain of loss that has brought me deeper knowing, or perhaps time, space and more practice--however it is, the message I have been getting for a long time now--is that, 'gifts are meant to be shared' --if I don't share the gifts I have to offer, my seeds won't blossom, but will go dormant and die themselves.
Whenever we have gifts to share, we are to share them. If your gifts are stuck inside of you due to pain, grief, suffering--perhaps engaging in breathwork and committing to yourself, can unlock pain, and give you space to create something new.
Join me for this 14-day challenge. At the end of it, we celebrate with cacao and harmonizing with the energies of the day. Making space for growth and installing the seeds of love and hope in our hearts.
