Sky Wire Mashups

Hi everyone! Here is a little channel update for the new year. Since I began university my interest in creating content for this channel has been on and off. I have started projects with the intention of finishing the whole thing only to get bored very quick, and then become incredibly invested in them again. Here's a status update regarding the two things most people following my channel care about.

J-POP MASHUP 2025 is around 70-80% finished in terms of audio. Since the year actually rolled over I haven't been very motivated to work on it, so I can't make any promises, but I hope I can finish it and put it out before we get closer to the end of 2026. If I can, it will be the longest and biggest J-Pop year end so far with over 200 songs and being around 15 minutes.

The updated SOPHIE megamix has been something that's been in the back of my mind for a while. I've sketched out some loose ideas but haven't quite worked out how to reconstruct the mix to accommodate the new songs that have come out. Alongside a more comprehensive representation of Sophie's personal discography and production work, the mashup will also include songs made as a tribute to Sophie following her passing, such as Charli XCX's "So I" and A. G Cook's "Without". This is a project I hope to finish during summer break. Once again, no promises, but it's something I would really like to finish, and there's no set time limit on it, so this is probably the more likely of the two to come to fruition. That being said, I am currently working on a project that I think fans of the SOPHIE megamix will enjoy, and I hope to put this out at some point in the next month.

I'm curious as to see if anyone would be interested in seeing WIP or behind-the-scenes content for my mashups. There's a lot of unfinished mashups that I don't feel confident enough to release. Please let me know if this is something you'd like to see!

Please keep in mind that I take a more casual approach to YouTube now and I can't guarantee anything regarding projects people want to see from me. However, I sincerely appreciate the support my channel continues to get despite my output slowing down tremendously. I still enjoy reading all your comments every day. Hi everyone
It’s May now and I haven’t made JPOP MASHUP 2023. Unfortunately, from here on out I’m not going to make end of year megamixes anymore. I’m really sorry, I know this was the main thing a lot of people were subscribed to my channel for so this might be disappointing. To be clear, I still love JPOP. I still love mashups too but it’s just not something I want to dedicate my time and energy to as much now. I’m at university studying music production and I’m making original music which is currently where my passion lies. I still want to post on this channel, but it’s going to be less frequent and more casual now. I want to use mashups as a sort of creative relaxation compared to my other projects. I hope you all understand, and I want to thank you for all the support on all my videos over the years, it genuinely has been so nice to know that I have followers who are waiting for me to post. Hopefully, I’ll post new mashups soon!
